A Unexpected encounter

Vassek 3

Vassek 3... A long forgotten world deep within First Order Space. Kyrel didn't care for the world although he had heard stories of the planet that was covered in a gloomy mist. He had heard of the world as once housing the lair of the late Jedi Hunter General Grievous. Kyrel admired his work when it came to killing the Jedi, but he lacked the force and that was ultimately a mistake that cost him his life. He did not know what drew him here but on his way to Mustafar he felt a tremor in the force, weather it was a disturbance or even a calling he couldn't say all he knew is that he had to go to the force forsaken rock.

He had taken a small group of stormtroopers with him in case of what he would encounter on the world, but he assumed nonetheless it would mostly be nothing. He had told the pilot to alter the course of the modified ancient Theta class shuttle from Mustafar to Vassek where he was certain of feeling something calling to him, within moments the shuttle jumped to hyperspace, and Kyrel meditated on the dark side wondering curiously on who or what could it be on a world with very little settlements. No matter Kyrel would find out who or what it even was.

After a few hours the shuttle dropped out of hyperspace, and descended rapidly into the atmosphere, after getting through thick clouds, and heavy blankets of fog Kyrel determined that what he was sensing came from the old structure that was Grevious's lair. The shuttle came to the structure slowly landing on the outside of it folding it's bat like wings as the landing ramp was engaged. Kyrel slowly got up and the few stormtroopers that did accompany him walked behind him down the ramp. One of them said inquisitively. "My lord do you think there is anyone inside. This structure has been long forgotten it would be unlikely if anyone came to it."

Kyrel did not bother turning only responding coldly, as he extended a hand out using the force to open the door. "Do not question I sense something within this place and we will find it, but be wary there are still traps within the Jedi Hunter's long forgotten lair, be on your guard from this point forward." The trooper gave him a respectful nod. "Yes sir." Kyrel than entered inside slowly using his senses to find who was inside, but remained vigilant as he had no idea what to expect from such a prestigious ancient place.

The inside of the lair was cold and quite dark with the only light inside emanating from small bulbs that lined the ceiling offering a pitiful excuse of light for even the dullest of lamps. The halls were lifeless and silent but not unkept. It was obvious that someone or something had been residing there for quite some time. As the group proceeded deeper in, they passed several rooms showcasing the brutal worrier in his prime as well as the trophies he had collected from his victims. Noticeably absent from the grotesque shrine were the lightsabers that Grievous was rumored to have taken from fallen Jedi. Upon entering the lair, the group had unknowingly tripped a silent alarm that had been installed by Decious to keep out unwanted guests. The alarm signaled an alert on his gauntlet and with that he briskly made his way to the control center where he switched on the cameras that had been installed throughout the lair.

As he checked the monitor and saw the intruders, he got slightly worried but rather more surprised than actual worry. It was his understanding that Vassek was uninhabited except by a few indigenous animals and wildlife. Assuming these intruders were not from Vassek and knowing the authorities on his homeworld would surely not be coming here to look for him; who were these people? How did they find him and why were they here? Decious took a closer look at the security cameras and recognized the stormtrooper uniforms but couldn't figure out who the man in the black suit was. It almost appeared to be Darth Vader. Decious had only heard rumors about the dark lord but among those rumors was one that stated he had died many years ago.

Through all the doubt and confusion as to who these intruders were, Decious was almost glad they arrived because it would give him a chance to test out the changes he made to the droids he had found there as well as the special project he had been working on for the past two years. With a wry chuckle, Decious entered in the commands that activated the upgraded magnaguard droids near the intruders. The droids buzzed to life, their red eyes and red power cores (now protected by ray shields) flickered on. Five droids dropped from the ceiling where they had been stored and activated their electro-staffs, marching out to confront the intruders.

Kyrel was amazed that the old structure still remained standing even after 800 years. He saw a few old skeletons lying on the ground, and even swore he saw what looked to be pieces of B-1 Battle droids on the floor cut to pieces by a Lightsaber. He remained on his guard although the same couldn't be said. One looked around at the dark ominous walls of the corridor and said. "This place gives me the creeps." Another beside him quickly reprimanded him for his behavior especially walking behind a Knight of Ren. "Quiet. You know we have a Ren with us we will be fine." They continued to roam the halls with they're flashlights on. Kyrel didn't seem to care as his infrared vision allowed him to see everything, and all around the room.

Kyrel began to explore some of the rooms, and saw statues of what the Kaleesh warrior must have been before becoming a pawn of the Sith. He looked at each one with curiosity knowing that Grievous in some ways was a precursor to Vader. He than found a room that sparked great interest within Kyrel. He walked forth with the stormtroopers in tow, and explored the room. He saw tables filled with set's of what looked to be lightsabers, and padawan braids. Kyrel examined them as he spoke his commanding baritone not hiding the curiousity he felt. "Interesting, this must be where he kept his trophies. Although he wasn't the best strategist he did know how to kill Jedi, but odd they do not show any signs of dust. Someone must have been here recently." After sometime he was determined to continue on his path and so he walked out of the room with the troopers feeling their was little to be gained by being here.

After some walking he could feel a force signature. It was weak, but nonetheless surprised him, it all started to make sense to him now the force must have drawn him to this place as he was meant to come here. He decided to play this game and follow the path that would lead to the force signature even though something didn't feel right as they did so. He than saw a group of photorecoptors emerge from the darkness as if they were something from a horror holoflick. He than saw them emerge, they were Magna guards he could clearly see, they were dangerous foes to go up against but were nothing compared to the power of the dark side. The stormtroopers immediately began firing but were quickly encroached upon as Kyrel activated his lightsaber with a snap hiss bringing forth a crimson blade. He quickly engaged them his blade connecting with the electro-staff. His stormtroopers screamed in terror as they were taken out without hesitation. Kyrel could not help them as he went on the defensive his anger steadily rising.

Than one of the staff's hit his arm and he growled in anger. He went on the offensive focusing on his Form V attacks, and allowing his anger to be used as a weapon. He quickly chopped the one who hit him in half, and than focused on force pushing three back, while they were held against the wall he threw his saber cutting them in half to make sure they weren't a threat. The final one had delivered a shock to Kyrel's back while he was distracted which was a mistake. He turned and started bashing at the droid as he spun his weapon around in a vain attempt to put up a defense. Kyrel violently decapitated him roaring with rage, and to make quick work stabbed him in the torso. He looked around, and saw the wreckage even the stormtroopers were dead, and even so Kyrel had to move on. He kept his saber down as he walked just in case anymore surprises hit his way, as he walked down the dark hallway towards the signature in no mood for games.

Decious watched as Kyrel tore apart his droids, making it look easy. For a minute Decious considered ending this whole thing quickly by opening up the floor under him but decided against it. He was in total awe with the ease in which Kyrel handled his blade, slicing it through the droids like they were paper. As the screams of the dying troopers, he was reminded of the screams of his father and instantly he filled with that same primal rage that filled him as he killed his father in cold blood. When the dust finally settled and Kyrel was left standing, Decious decided it was time to take things into his own hands and to test out his experiment. He stood up and grabbed the lightsaber that he had been clipped on his belt and walked to the back room. Decious was eager at the chance to use a lightsaber in real combat for the first time. He had spent lots of time practicing on the magnaguard droids after having them updated and had received his fair share of scars from it. Unfortunately for him there was no medical droid to be found but the medical room was fully stocked so he learned to self medicate after a painful training session.

He also got used to training while wearing armor from Grievous' spare parts and had incorporated some of that armor, such as arm guards and chest plates, into his outfit. The armor was tough and durable, able to withstand direct blaster shots, though not able to fair well against a lightsaber. As Decious left the control room he clothed himself in the armor and activated the droid he had been working on for the past two years. The droid stood up and looked around then locked eyes with Decious. "State instructions." Its cold and matalic voice filled the room. "We have an uninvited guest. Follow me. " The two walked down the hall and as they walked Decious couldn't help but think of the sheer power that Grievous had to wield to kill as many Jedi as he did. All of this facinated Decious, and as he never spent much time in school, this was the first time he was hearing about all of this. He learned about the clone wars by reading reports that Grievous wrote himself. He wondered what happened to Grievous. Was he dead? And if he was, how did he die? Was he killed, and who could be so pwoerful to kill the Jedi killer?

Decious seced a presence and stopped, the droid stopping behind him. It was too dark to see more than whatever was right in front of him but Decious knew someone, Kyrel, was there. "Why are you here!" Decious demanded as he activated the lightsaber in his hand, sending an emerald glow through the hall. The activation of Decious' blade caused the droid behind him to step forward and reveal a towering body that was almost a spitting image of the late droid General, any part that would have been occupied by Grievous' organic components were now occupied by spare magnaguard parts and power systems. The eyes glowed a blood red color and the droid let out a low matalic growl as he too activated a lightsaber, this one adding a blue illumination and doubling the light in the hall. The droid let out a chuckle and said "let me kill this scum!" But Decious was a little more forgiving, "No. not yet. I want answers." Both Decious and the droid held firm in their stance.

(If this turns violent, go easy on the droid. I want to keep him around.)

Kyrel was angered by how such ancient droids could kill his entire squad of stormtroopers. He could not believe that simple droids could do this, and so was angered by such attacks. He decided to leave the dead there as it was just no use to keep them there, and so pressed on his saber still ignited. He didn't know much of the late General despite his history of the Clone Wars, and how the cyborg died was a pathetic way to end for someone like him. He would soon deal with the being responsible for the attack, and as he walked down the corridor his desire was soon answered with two blades activating both blue in color, he than thought to himself. 'Jedi!!' But as he looked closer this however was not the case it looked to be a young man and his droid whom both wielded the blades. Kyrel was furious as he pointed his crimson blade and said. "Who are you boy, you are no Jedi?" He said ignoring the droids desire to attack Kyrel.

"The real question is who are you and what are you doing in my home!" Decious practically snarled at Kyrel when uttering the words. He kept his saber ready, fearing that he might have to use it at any moment now. He has spent the past couple of years training with the General's old training program and at one point felt he had mastered it. Now it was time to see if all that schooling really payed off. As Decious awaited an answer from the intruder, the droid beside him let out a machanical growl as it kept its glowing red eyes transfixed on Kyrel, more importantly; Kyrel's blade in an effort to anticipate any hostile action.

Kyrel kept his blade down, as he was fairly curious of who the boy was, and than sensed that the force was calling to him. The source was the boy in itself and what surprised him was how the boy wielded a lightsaber. Perhaps he was the one that he was drawn too. This must have been the will of the force. He stared at him collecting his thoughts for a moment before answering. "I have come here because the force drew me here, and straight to you. Tell me boy, why do you live in this decrepid place when you can become so much more?"

"I live here because I have to live here. There is nothing left for me back home, so I left and made a new home home here. My ship was damaged and I had to make an emergency landing. After a bit of walking I stumbled into this place. I already know I can be more than a simple hermit, back on my home planet some thought I was a god because of my powers." Decious lowered the still ignited lightsaber, standing upright as he speaks. The droid beside him, however, stayed in a defensive position with his blade pointed at Kyrel.
