A Unexpected Friendly Meeting

Mike was in his house. He was married into the Fel line. He was happy that he did not have to do much work and his master did not call for him yet. Mike was enjoying spending time with his wife, [member="Maria V'trechen-Fel I"] . They were a awesome couple.

One mourning, Mike gotten some intel that a Sith Colleague named, [member="Salis"] , was oming. Mike was preparing for her arrival....

Salis walked calmly, she wore her armor as usual, the mask over her mouth but leaving the rest of her open to the air. She had left her rifle on board her ship, along with her droids, she wasn't here for a fight after all. Or more correctly, she wasn't here for a fighter with Mike. It had been awhile now since she last saw him, since she heard about him getting married, since they both left the Jen'arii, but took separate paths.

Officially, she wanted his help on a mission, it really wasn't much abnormal. Helped to have someone's help though. But quite truthfully, she just wanted to meet him and his wife. See all of what was going on, how things were. All of that.

Maria saw a woman walking to their house from the landing pad. She had known that Mike had invited an important friend. Maria knew that his friends are mostly made of Sith, but if it made him happy, then Maria was happy. Maria went to the door and opened it. She said, "Hello. Are you Salis?"

[member="Salis"]

Salis lifted her eyes as the door opened and she caught sight of the woman, so this was Mike's wife then? Well she was a pretty girl at least, and she was apparently one of power, so there was that. The woman greeted her with her name and Salis cocked her head in thought, well, Mike had apparently already told her of the Sith.
"That'd be me, pleasure to meet ya." she said very casually glancing behind her just to see if Mike was close by, "You're Mike's wife then right? The Princess?"

[member="Maria V'trechen-Fel I"]

Maria was happy to see that the Sith had made it. It was the first time, someone had visited their house. Maria said, "Yes, I am Maria V'Trechen-Fel I. You can just call me your highness please, or at least Maria. Mike had told me a lot about you. Mike told me that he had some urgent mattes to discus with you. Please follow me." Maria then made her way to Mike's chambers.

[member="Salis"]

Salis let out a slight chuckle at the thought of calling her 'your highness', but chose not to make a joke about it when she said that just Maria would do. And mentioning that Mike had told a lot about her. She did have to wonder what exactly she had been told of course, and of it, what she was ok with. Salis was, to an average person, a ruthless murderer who took glee from combat. To most that was irrevocably wrong, or at the very least, intimidating.

She followed along behind the woman fairly silently, with only one more moment, "Well congrats on your wedding, think ya'll planning on having a kid?" she shook her head in thought of that, "Boy would that seem weird. I mean, given where I know him from."

[member="Maria V'trechen-Fel I"]

Maria turned to Salis and responded, "I do not know. His business, as you know, has him coming and going every night. I need to make sure that all the food for dinner is ready. Please wait here for Mike. He had asked me to have a private conversation with you before dinner. I was shocked that he even invited you. He is ussually depressed, espically after the whole thing with his first faction." Maria then left and closed the doors.

[member="Salis"]

Mike looked at Salis from his office. Mike was happy to see her again, but knew that he wanted to have a serious conversation. Something that bugged him. He figured that she was the only one that he could talk to. Mike said, "Salis, who am I? I did so much in my lifetime, but people keep hating me. I always wanna be in a fight. All my masters leave me. I have one master, but we do not talk much. Why am I here, if I cannot be a sith apprentice or lord? Who am I? Is there any worth in living?"

Salis cocked her head at the woman as she answered. A strange job for a...princess to cook. Perhaps they preferred a more personal state of life, rather then hiring servants of some form. Didn't matter, it was their business and how they preferred their day to day life was of little importance to the assassin. Then the woman mentioned the depressing part, and the first faction. Or empire rather. However you preferred it. And closed the doors. Salis business was not with her, so she simply moved on. Smiling at Mike as she entered his office, visible somewhat behind her rebreather. But certainly in her eyes.

However, his interest was not in greeting. He asked a question, a philosophical question actually. People hating him, always getting into fights, masters leaving him, what was his purpose. To Salis, this question was...well, irrelevant. But she was different from everyone else. Because she couldn't give a crap about the end goals. To her, whatever made you happy, that's all that was important. Or at least, whatever made her happy.

She sighed, taking off her mask and sliding a veil over her mouth, so that her expressions were slightly visible but her scars were mostly hidden still. She came and knelt down next to him, time to express to him the philosophy that she went by most of her life, "So stop caring. Titles like Sith Lord, apprentice, words! Screw that. Look at me," she stood up holding out her arms and smiling, a gleam in her eye, "I'm an assassin, a bounty hunter, a mercenary. These are all considered inferior titles to those of a Sith Knight. And yet, under a month ago I stalemated with a Sith Lord while invading her home. And you know what, I still don't care about my title. Because titles, success, it's unimportant! You want a teacher, I can help teach you, help you grow. But don't do it for a title that means nothing to you. You do whatever in this galaxy it is that you want, regardless of what other people think. You want to kill people, kill people, as long as you are happy afterwards. You want to rule a planet, make it happen. You want to be the kindest person in existence, just do it. You must control your own destiny, make your world a joy. Choose what you want and get it, if you don't want it, get rid of it and move on. I've done that all my life and look how happy I am! I do whatever I want and nobody has killed me yet have they? Nobody's criticism of me has taken me down! My title, means nothing. Because to me, I don't want a title. I want to have fun."

She folded her arms across her chest, "You want to be a Sith Lord? We'll make you worthy of it. But what matters, is what you want?"

Mike looked at Salis. All he wanted to do in his life is to rule the world and to protect the one's he cared about. Mike really liked Salis. They were like brother and sister just not related. Mike force pulled his lightsaber from off his desk and handed it to Salis. He replied, "Salis, can you teach me? I am lost without hope, but you are always there for me. I give up my lightsaber and hand it to you. Please teach me your ways, so I can rule a planet and protect people, like you and Maria." Mike bowed and continued, "Please take me on as your apprentice."

[member="Salis"]

Salis watched him as he pulled his lightsaber from his desk, holding it out to her, she took the weapon, running a finger along side it as he spoke. Asking her to teach her, how to rule a planet and protect people. Bowing finally, and asking for her to take him as her apprentice. Officially, in the eyes of the Jen'Ari or the Sith Empire, Salis was no Sith Lord. But she had the power and the knowledge not dissimilar to one.

She thought on it, that was a decision she didn't know how long she could keep. But...for now at least, perhaps it was something she could fulfill. That is if her other journeys didn't end up getting in the way. Salis would then ignite it and look at the blade once in thought before deactivating it, "So be it, from here until it is decided otherwise you shall be my apprentice. Don't assume that this is going to be very easy. And I'm going to need a little more then just the concept of having an apprentice, I don't exactly benefit from that very much and I do have to take care of myself." She held the weapon back to him, "But first, let's see where you are in your skills. Do you have somewhere we can practice?" she asked him cocking her head.

The last time they'd had a practice session he'd ended up getting electrocuted in the water, she didn't know if he'd progressed or not since then, but one way or another if she was going to be his teacher, then he was going to have to learn quickly that sometimes one had to know more then just tricks. Salis had learned a combination of intelligence and pure skill. Some could succeed well with only skill or only intelligence, but Salis was not going to let such thing become a limitation to any Apprentice of hers. Mike asked to learn to protect others and lead a world, not goals of Salis's, but goals perhaps which Salis could help him achieve. Maybe it was some desire to help her only legitimate friend that prompted her to accept his offer. It wasn't necessarily like he could offer her that much she truly wanted.

Mike knew of a perfect training area. Mike said, "Follow me, ma'am." He went outside to get on a speeder and went straight to the woods. After a couple of hours, he emerged from the trees to a little wooded clearing. Mike knew that Salis might be curious, so he thought he should tell her what this is. Mike said, "This is my training area. This is where I train and meditate in the force. My house is a sanctuary, so we ussually do not let people have weapons there, but here it is wild and free for miles around."

Salis followed her new students, thoughts running through her mind. When she was taught first, her master was...well irrelevant to her. They were just a path to further abilities. Both her master and her mutually knew that. She outgrew them quickly, given she was not raised by the Sith.

Their trip to the training ground was taking a long time she thought looking into the sky, oh well. Not much to do about that but be patient. She hated waiting. She was good at it if it meant a dangerous fight was ahead, but she didn't get those as often as she'd like.

Finally they arrived, a lightly wooded opening. He explained that because nobody was here, they were open to using weapons. She nodded to herself, "Good. Take out your weapon, I need to preform a few tests." she said, she'd take several steps away from him, pulling the blasters from her hips, "You've, of course, practiced with defending yourself in swordsmanship I hope. If not, we're about to. I'm going to adapt according to how I believe is necessary, to see what you can do defensively. Do not be afraid to attack in turn."

She looked him in the eyes, "Are you ready?"

[member="Mike V'Trechen"]

Mike was ready. He was born to fight. Mike got out his lightsaber and started to use the force to focus. Mike did not understand why, but he always felt patient and can sence things. It was kinda like a meditation for him. Mike opened his eyes and looked straight at Salis and said, "It is time. Give me your best shot. I promise to not disappoint you."

[member="Salis"]

Salis brought the two blasters to the ready, they had fairly powerful shots for hand held blasters. But they were still pistol arms. And she let loose a very swift well aimed barrage. A lightsaber welders best advantage was when the shots were either very close together, or in the case of the double bladed one, at opposite ends. As a result she aimed two shots towards his chest, and the other two at the right of his waist. They were fired swiftly, and immediately after, a stun pearl flew from one of her pouches towards him the pin pulled by the force. It was a tool she'd used to stun a Sith Lord in a very entertaining duel with her, which ultimately was what Brough about the stalemate as they were both taken by it.

But for Mike, the distance was enough that he'd be forced to find either a way to knock it away, dodge, or get caught in its radius. She had little doubt he could defend or dodge the basic blaster fire, it was efficient but hardly out of the usual. It was the stun pearl that was meant as the surprise.

Mike started to deflect the bullets. He deflected them all with little effort, but then his fingers glowed and lightning came out of his fingurenails. Mike was alarmed and did not know how to stop it. Mike was very scared right now. Mike said, "Help! What is happening? Ahh!"

Salis watched the bullets deflected, the blasts, then he seemed to call upon lightning which he seemed to be surprised by, she sighed, "Control yourself!" she shouted at him, and she moved, her own blade igniting and spiraling around her as she approached him at incredibly speed the weapon she had to reduce power on just in case though she was definitely still going easy on him. If he couldn't learn to even control his own powers during battle, he was hardly ready to be her apprentice in her eyes. Salis was a warrior and a natural killer, if he couldn't control himself even he would be too difficult to train properly until he understood the basics.

Of course she knew it was force lightning, and she'd not really seen something like that occur, not at least for someone who didn't know what to do. But his panics would not be allowed as her apprentice, he had to control himself and learn fast if he expected to keep going.

[member="Mike V'Trechen"]

Mike controlled himself with the force lightning. It was scary for him. He figured that he did not want to hurt his family and friends. Without a word, Mike went to the lake. He thought, "If I do not want my family to die, then I should not kill anyone. I cannot do it anymore. I need to go and find out who I am, not what I want to become." And with that, he threw his lightsaber into the lake and gotten onto his speeder to ride into the sunset.

[member="Salis"]

Mike walked off to the lake. She raised an eyebrow looking at him, and then furrowed her brow as she heard him speak. To Salis, this was incredibly dramatic, even frustratingly so. He even threw his lightsaber into the ocean and rode off on his speeder. She took off her mask and sat down deactivating her lightsaber and placing it back in it's pouch behind her, her eyes flashed yellow for a moment and she gripped her hand, a tree collapsing from it, "Make up you mind Mike. You're gonna be chasing nothing for the rest of your life with a flippant act like that." she growled before finally standing up again and walking near the lake, reaching out a hand and pulling the weapon out of the Lake.

If she could, she'd leave it with his wife, tell her to hide it for now and only bring it out if ever they were in actual trouble or he chose to go back to the force, after she put a message with it that is, for if he ever were to bring it out. "Kill, be killed, peace or destruction, none of this matters to me. You are a friend, one of very few in my life. I hope one way or another you understand what you want, regardless of that is, chase it down. I'm not kind hearted. I'm cruel and malicious, I like to kill an destroy, that's who I am and I care not for morals. You may consider me to be evil because of that. But it's the path I chose. You need to choose yours before your flippancy becomes your path, because that is not one you will enjoy."
