Public A Wanted Woman

Kayûm looked around the bar wearily.

She was looking for someone and someone was looking for her.

Her natural hunting instincts had been narrowed to a thin point- and she could feel that there was something wrong.

So she naturally went to sit down at the bar. Waiting- the best way to flip a trap.

"Ah- my favorite Felacation." Purred a voice from behind her.

There we go-

Kayûm spun around on the stool.

"Scath. What do you want?"

Scath sat down next to her.

"You know me Kayûm- I want the intel."

Kayûm snarled to her- baring her fangs.

"I DON'T work as an information broker any more."

"But you do have the information. Because I've seen you using it."

She tried not to blanch. Ok kriff. Kayûm glanced around the room while picking up the drink the bartender slid over. She NEEDED to get out of here.

"Oh and don't try and leave, "Scath said, looking at her nails, "Cause I'll just find you again."

Kayûm knew that was true, Kriff. Nope, she had to risk it. Taking a deep breath, she smiled at her old friend.

"I know janoh," Kayûm purred in Felacation, "But I've gotta go now."

"Wait!!" Scath blurted, "Before you go- I have a message. There will be others sent to find you, if you don't give up the information- a huge bounty will be put over your head. It has been! You're a wanted person now!!"

Kayûm grimaced- not good. Oh well- time to go. Reaching into her bag that was hung against her torso, she pulled out a smoke grenade and threw it down.
There was pandemonium for a few seconds. Screams echoed around the innocent bar and Kayûm ducked out of the door, starting out at a run.

"THEY'LL FIND YOU!!!" She heard Scath scream from the doorway, but Kayûm didn't look back.

She ran down an alleyway then crashed into a wall. Groaning, she blinked from her position on the floor. Then she blanched- she didn't crash into a wall, it was a person.

Red had been casually walking down an alleyway, minding his own business (For once), when suddenly a woman suddenly turned into the alleyway and barreled right into Red, knocking herself down. Red stumbled backward, but didn't fall. He held his helmet beneath his right arm, and he was wearing his armor, like he always did. It was also noticeable that he was very well-armed. His red hair glinting in the light. His red eyes looked down at the woman.

She was fairly tall, and seemed fairly young, younger than Red, at least. She was some sort feline species. Huh, Red didn't see many of those in the galaxy. She was definitely an interesting sight.

"You alright, ma'am?" Red asked, crouching down next to her.

Kayûm scurried back slightly when the heavily armored man in front of her knelt down and asked if she was alright.

"Um- yeah, I'm fine," She said flusteredly, standing up. She really needed to get out of there, "Uh- sorry about that."

She dusted herself off and checked to make sure her datapad hadn't fallen out of her bag. As an information broker- it was her prized possession. She gave a small relieved sigh as she noted it was there, and safe.

Red raised an eyebrow when she scurried little bit back when he knelt down. She was a twitchy thing. She then seemed flustered at Red and said that she was fine, then quickly stood up and walked off. She was trying to shake him off! She seemed... nervous, anxious, a little bit scared, too. Red was Force-sensitive, but he didn't need the Force to know when someone was in trouble, thanks to his acute observation skills. He saw her check her bag and seemed relieved when she found something inside of it. Ah, so there was something in the bag she was trying to protect.

Red stood up. He could hear the commotion coming from the near by bar, which the woman had come out of. Did she do something in there? She seemed in trouble. "Hold on, lady. I can tell when someone's in some kind of trouble. What happened in the bar? And what's in the bag?" He asked, being blunt and getting right to the point. Sure, it wasn't exactly the best way to deal with the situation, but it definitely was the quickest.

Kriffin Kriff the whole kriffin...

She didn’t finish the thought before the Red haired dude spoke. He asked what happened at the bar and what was in the bag.

“Nothin’.” Kayum lies, she peeled around the corner and out of the alley. Yup, the police had arrived.

She took an anxious step back as one of them looked their way. She could feel her stress levels rising- that was bad. She had a phobia of morphing in public... that made her more stressed.

Red could tell she was lying when she said nothing. Such a vague and nondescript answer for his double question. Her quick answer, followed by her quick exit of the alley, and her general behavior showed Red that she was doing something she wasn't supposed to be doing. Red sighed. Everyone had something to hide, didn't they?

Red walked out of the alleyway, and saw that the police had arrived. One of them was looking at the feline woman.

"Hey! You! Don't move! We want to ask you some questions!" The officer told her.

Red walked towards them. Time for him to help someone who obviously didn't want it. "Hey! Back off! This here is my bounty! I caught her fair and square! And if you don't mind, I'd like to bring her in before she tries to kill someone again!" Red yelled at the officer, acting like he was a bounty hunter hunting this woman. It was very convincing, as Red was heavily armed, was wearing battle armor, and had that rugged bounty hunter look. Plus, acting like a hunter was easy, as Red was one. The poor officer seemed scared of Red.

"O-Of course, s-sir! S-Sorry! You can go now, and take your target." The police officer stammered, intimidated by Red.

Red nodded and placed binders onto the woman, and roughly shoved her forward. "Get moving, scum! And don't try anything!" Red yelled at her, pulling out a blaster rifle to make it seem more convincing. He kept a hand on the woman's left arm as they walked down the street, so he could guide her.

"Don't look back, don't say anything, don't even look at me. Just look forward in silence." Red quietly muttered to her as they walked down the streets. Eventually, Red turned her down an abandoned alleyway, and finally let go of her.

Red looked around, then put his rifle away. "Alright, I think we're alone. I think we managed to fool them. Here, let me take those binders off of you." He said, reaching forward to unlock her handcuffs. "Sorry about that, I had to be rough and put on a show to make it seem more convincing." Red told her. Then, he took the binders off of her. "Alright, now, you owe me. What's going on?"

Kayúm rubbed her wrists- not because they were painful, but because of memories. She just nodded when the Red head apologized, then he asked what was going on, rightly claiming that she owed him.

I owe him... but I can’t really trust him.

“Someone wants something I have- I refused to give it to them.” Kayûm decided to summarise. It was all true- but it didn’t give away too much.

She shifted slightly- then glanced at her open bag and was relieved to see her pad there. Dead give away- but she could deal with him if he came at her.

Kayûm couldn’t stay there for long, is Scath had been telling the truth, she had a bounty five blocks long on her head. She couldn’t help fidgeting anxiously.

For all she knew- this red head really WAS a bounty hunter!

Red listened to her whenever she told him what was going on, then sighed when he realized she wasn't telling him everything. Fine, she could be that way, strange secretive lady. Then, she glanced at her bag again. That was a mistake. So, there really was something in there of high value, then. She must be in some serious trouble, then.

"Alright, I can tell that you don't trust me. I wouldn't either. Here, I'll show that you can trust me." Red told her. Then, he pulled out his lightsaber and activated it, the yellow blade casting a yellow glow over the alleyway. "See? I'm a Jedi. Which means that you can probably trust me. I can understand if you don't, though. I probably wouldn't trust myself either, but if you're in danger, you should probably have someone to help you out of it." He told her.

Kayûm watched surprised, as the red head pull a lightsaber out and ignite it. A warm yellow glow lit the alleyway.

So not a bounty hunter... Huh. But maybe the Jedi would arrest me...

She shook that thought away- stupid paranoia. She watched the Red head closely, her tail flickering slightly in consideration.

That is true,” She allowed herself to say. Kayûm watched the man to see what he would do, keeping a tight clutch on her bag,”But I can’t stay in one spot for long...”

The woman still kept a close hold on her bag, and told him how she couldn't stay in one spot for too long. So, she did have a bounty on her. Fascinating, that's why she hadn't trusted Red, thinking he was a hunter after her. As if. Red hadn't even seen her face before today, and didn't even have her chain code. If he had been hunting her, he would have captured her long ago, she seemed to be quite an easy target.

"Alright then, let's get moving, if that's the case." Red told her. He deactivated his lightsaber and put it back onto his utility belt. He walked to the opening of the alleyway. "You coming?"

Kayûm hesitates- she did need help if she was going to get out of this. Now she didn't have much choice, so she sighed and smiled.

"Yes. Thank you, by the way." She said as she walked forward, going after him.
