A well deserved vacation.

Planet: Spira

LocationLocation: Beach side resort

Objective: Relax

The first rays of light began rise and cast their warmth across the ocean to the sandy beaches of Spira. Bathing the soft sands and small well kept beach side huts in a warm glow. Most residents and a small handful of vacationers rose to greet the day.

Harli stood on the beach with her eyes closed. She breathed in the salt air carried by the warm ocean breeze. Her toes dug into the sand for the first time since their shuttle touched down a few hours before.

She opened her eyes and watched the sky turn red and orange as the sun slowly rose. Her skirt blew gently in the breeze, while her tank top let her bare arms soak up the morning sun. She turned to look at Abigail and gave her a smile. "I think I could definitelydefinitely live here."

Abigail smiled as she felt the warmth of the sun on her face. She stood still with her eyes closed for a few seconds, just feeling the gentle sun on her cheeks and anything not covered by her sundress. Once she opened her eyes again, she couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of Spira. The beach and the ocean looked beautiful in the morning sun's light.

Eventually Abigail's eyes found her way to Harli, who was standing in the sand ahead of her. She was wearing beautiful clothes, which made Abigail perhaps even a little bit jealous. With a smile Abigail then quickly hopped through the sand and towards her friend.

Abigail returned Harli's kind smile when she looked at her. She'd had always thought Harli had a beautiful smile, but here in the sun it was even prettier than before.

"I know right", Abigail softly replied. "It's absolutely stunning. I love it."

Harli took in the sight of Abigail when she made her way over to her side. The bright morning light gave the girls skin a beautiful glow. She was glad that Abigail had agreed to come on this vacation with her. Honestly, the day in and out of her job was getting dull and somewhat stressful.

She turned to face her friend and gave a questioning look. "So, what should we do? There's a lot here and we have lots of time." Harli could scarcely stay awake on the long shuttle ride. Now, however, she seemed to have a lot of energy now that they were here.

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

Abigail titled her head with a teasing smile as Harli asked her what they wanted to do.

"Oh, we've regained some energy now, have we?", she chuckled. "I saw you almost falling asleep on the shuttle, you know. You can't hide such things from me!"

After a short giggle, Abigail turned to look around some more, but instead of just gazing at the beautiful places, she looked for a place to have a drink.

"We could," she started as she swung back around to look at Harli," we could go and grab a drink? And then maybe explore a bit? See what this place has to offer."

A genuine smile was present on her face at all times here. It was beautiful, and Abigail was more than excited to spend some time here with Harli.

Harli returned Abigail's teasing smile and gave an overly dramatic response. "Oh...but that flight was so long and boring."

She watched Abigail for a moment while she looked for something to entertain them, a smile to always be present on her face now. Her gaze then drifted to her surroundings. The small beach huts, tropical trees blowing lazily in the breeze and the warm sun. Yeah, Harli could get used to something like this.

"A drink?" She asked, coming back to the task at hand. "I could go for a drink." There were a lot of small places to eat, or for outdoor activities. Finally, her eyes landed on a pier with a thatched roof and no walls, that stuck a short way out into the ocean. She could see a small bar sitting in the center. Harli pointed towards the bar in the distance. "How about that one?"

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

Abigail laughed at Harli's overly dramatic reaction.
"Aww, was it sooo bad?", Abigail said with an exaggerated sweet voice and a wink. "Poor you."

Abigail made a finger gun gesture towards Harli as she suggested a nice looking bar. "You're the boss!", she chuckled before she reached forward, gently grabbing Harli's arm.

"Come on!", she said as she started to hop through the sand, pulling Harli with her. While they walked through the sand towards the bar, Abigail took another moment to gaze upon the beauty surrounding her. Her gaze eventually found itself to Harli's face once again, where it lingered for a short while. When [member="Harli Hayes"] finally looked back at her, Abigail realised she had been staring at her, and quickly flashed her a smile before she went back to observing her surroundings.

"We're almost there", she quickly said.

"So terrible." Harli responded with a laugh. The flight itself wasn't actually bad, she was just excited to get there.

She willingly let herself be pulled along by Abigail as they headed towards the bar, hopping through the sand the whole way. Harli instinctively grabbed ahold of Abigail's arm in return without even realizing it. The two hopped through the sand the whole time. Harli turned to see her friend looking at her, to which Harli responded with a smile.

Her bare feet hit the wooden planks of the pier when they finally made it. The bar itself was almost completely deserted other then a few early morning risers. They made their way to the end of the pier to where an empty table sat. The view of the ocean was better then when they were on the beach. Harli leaned against the railing, taking in the sights before turning to Abigail. "So. What do you want? I'm thinking something tropical maybe?"

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

As Abigail followed [member="Harli Hayes"] through the bar, she noticed that it was much emptier than she had expected. Then again, it was still quite early, even though it didn't feel like morning to her.

Abigail lingered around the empty table as Harli walked over to the railing. When Harli asked her question Abigail turned and walked towards her, leaning against the railing beside her.

"Oh, that's good question", she said as she considered her options. "I have to admit, I don't really know any 'tropical drinks'."

After another second, she tilted her head backwards causing her hair to slip over her shoulders before flashing Harli a big smile.

"Surprise me."

Harli watched Abigail as she thought about what to drink. She took in the sight of her friend without realizing that she was staring. When Abigail spoke, it drew Harli back to the question she had asked.

"Hmmm..I don't know of any tropical drinks either. I'm sure I can surprise you with something though." She left Abigail by thethe railing and headed to the bar. There she found a server droid making mixed colorful drinks. She browsed the holographic list of drinks hanging behind the droid. The list itself was fairly long and consisted of quite a few fruit flavored beverages.

After several minutes, Harli made her decision and the droid quickly set to work. Two drinks were soon set on the counter, one a bright blue with a matching blue flower attached to the cup, the other was an amber red with a matching flower attached to its cup. Harli grabbed the drinks and headed towards Abigail.

"Here you are. One tropical drink." Said HarliHarli as she handed the amber colored drink over. She took a sip of the blue one, and was greeted by a pleasantly sweet taste. The drink was a lot better than she expected, which was a good thing. She looked at Abigail and gave a small laugh and smile. "That's a lot better than I expected."

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

Abigail's eyes momentarily followed Harli as her friend left for the bar, but Abigail eventually turned around to watch the ocean. The water looked lovely, the colour was a nice light blue and the water was quite clear as well. They were definitely going to be swimming here a few times. Abigail would drag Harli into the water if she had to. It would be so much fun!

When she heard footsteps behind her, she turned back around again and was greeted by [member="Harli Hayes"] who carried two beverages.

"Oh, red! I like it already", she smiled as Harli handed her the amber coloured drink.

"And the flower!", she then gasped as she noticed the matching flower on the cup. "Here, stand still", Abigail said cheerfully as she took the flower in her hand and off of the cup. "Don't move", she chuckled again as she extended her arm. Then she carefully placed the small red flower in Harli's hair.

"There you go", she grinned. "Makes you look even prettier!", she added as she gave Harli a warm yet slighty shy smile.

Abigail then took a sip as she was rather curious how her drink tasted, especially because it was red. Luckily, it indeed tasted quite good as she had expected. It was a bit sweet, but not extremely, and to be honest Abigail couldn't exactly pinpoint what the drink was. All she knew was that she liked it.

"Hmm, mine's tasty as well", she replied with a grin. "Do you want to try it?", she then asked Harli as she extended her hand holding the drink towards her friend.

Harli gave a slight giggle at Abigail's reaction to the drink and flower. What she hadn't expected was to have her friend put the flower in her hair. She held perfectly still, well as still as she could without laughing. Harli closed her eyes as Abby carefully put the flower in place.

She opened her eyes and returned the shy smile. Her cheeks blushed some when Abigail said that she was even prettier now. "Thank you." She pulled the blue fflower from her cup. "Here, your turn." As carefully as she could, Harli placed the the bright blue flower into Abigail's hair.

She took a step back and gave a smile at her friend. "Now you look even prettier." Her cheeks felt a brighter red now than before. Harli turned her attention to Abby's drink when she asked if she wanted a sip. "Sure." She took the glass from Abby and held out her own. "Wanna try mine?"

Harli took a sip of the amber drink. It was just as sweet as hers, but held a distinctly different fruity flavor. Not at all a bad thing, she quite enjoyed it actually. "That is good." She saidsaid, handing back the drink.

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

Abigail gave [member="Harli Hayes"] a big smile as her friend grabbed the blue flower from her own drink. Harli had already looked quite beautiful before, but the small flower in her hair really made it just that little bit better. When Harli then reached to place the blue flower in Abigail's hair, the brown haired girl tried to move as little as possible.

Her eyes almost seemed to sparkle when Harli called her pretty. "That's really sweet", she responded softly as she looked into Harli's eyes. It was only when she noticed the red colour on Harli's face that she started to feel her own cheeks burn ever so slightly.

"Uh, yeah, of course I'd like to try that", she quickly laughed, while letting out a few shy giggles, to divert attention away from the fact she was blushing too. She took a hold of Harli's glass and then tasted the blue drink. It was sweet too, just as Abigail's had been. It seemed both of the drinks Harli had picked turned out to be quite enjoyable.

"Oh, this one's sweet too! I like it. You're really good at choosing drinks", she then grinned as they swapped their drinks again. "I'm definitely going to let you choose a drink for me more often."

The blush in Abigail's cheeks didn't escape Harli, but she let her friend distract her with the subject of the drinks. "Maybe we can come back tomorrow and try a different one?"

She turned from her friends beautiful smile back out to the ocean. Then an idea came to her. "Hey, I have an idea. Let's do some exploring for a while. Then when it gets hot out, we can go for a swim."

There was a lot to see around here, and Harli was curious about it all. At least before it got hot out anyway. Swimming would definitely be a good way to cool off.

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

"I'm already looking forward to seeing what you'll choose for us tomorrow", Abigail happily replied as she gave her friend a nod.

Whilst her friend looked out over the ocean, Abigail eyes lingered on Harli's back as she took another sip from her amber drink.

"Sure, that sounds fun", Abigail then replied as she unconsciously played with her own hair. "Let's do that. I love exploring, and I can't wait to feel what the water's like either."

"Come on", she then said with a smile as she graciously turned around, walking back towards the beach, ready to explore around a bit.

Harli turned and watched Abigail walk down the pier a ways before she hurried to catch up. She gave her friend a warm smile. "Let's see what we can find, shall we?"

They made their way down the sandy path in the opposite direction that they had come. Colorful birds and insects filled the air and rested on large beautiful flowers. Other vacationers were starting to get up and moving, while vendors were opening little stalls to sell trinkets and food.

Harli stopped by a stall to watch a man make necklaces and bracelets out of glass beads and polished pieces of metal. As she watched, a thought crossed her mind "Maybe she could get one for Abby."
She turned to Abigail and locked onto her pretty brown eyes. "Do you see anything you like? Or something else you want to see around here?"

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

Abby cheerfully followed [member="Harli Hayes"] down the sandy path. She constantly found something new to look at. Animals flying everywhere, other people coming out to enjoy their time here, people doing little tricks and so on. It felt like there was almost too much for her to see. As she gasped while looking around, she unconsciously took a hold of Harli's arm so that she wouldn't accidentally wander off. Abigail couldn't believe how beautiful this place was. Could all planets be more beautiful without the war and conflict?

When Harli stopped moving, Abigail accidentally bumped up against her as she hadn't really been looking where they went. She'd just been holding Harli's arm as she was guided away.

"I'm sorry", Abigail shyly chuckled as she let go of her arm.

Her attention then shifted towards the man making necklaces and bracelets. These things were so simple, yet so beautiful. And while the man made it look simple, Abigail knew she wouldn't ever be able to make one herself.

"Wow," look at that one!" she whispered as she pointed towards a necklace with blue glass beads. "They're such simple things, yet so pretty."

"No worries." Harli responded with a laugh when Abigail bumped into her. She turned her attention to the necklace her friend pointed at. In a way it was simple yet beautiful at the same time. The blue one it was.

"They definitely are. Hmmm..here, hold on a second." She handed the man a credchip in exchange for the necklace. "Hold still." She saidsaid with a slight giggle. Taking the necklace, she reached around Abby's neck and attached the clasps. Harli took half a step back and gave a smile. "There, it looks very pretty on you."

"Now let's see what else we can find." Harli turned and grabbed for Abigail's arm, but missed some. Instead she grabbed her hand. Harli didn't seem to really notice it at first as she guided the two of them down the path.

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

Abigail didn't know what to say as [member="Harli Hayes"] proceeded to buy the very necklace she had pointed towards. Was she... was Harli going to buy it for her?

Abigail sharply inhaled and even held her breath as Harli reached around her and hung the necklace around her neck. In a sudden surge Abigail's stomach felt a bit strange as her cheeks seemed to burn a bit as well. She wasn't able to give the feelings much thought though, as she was slightly stunned by Harli's kind action and her sweet words.

She only managed to let out a short giggle, her face now even more coloured than before.

"T-Thank you", she eventually managed to blurt out, as she wasn't exactly used to anything like this.

Abigail was kind of glad when Harli changed subject by talking about continuing on. Abigail merely nodded with a smile. She looked down for a short second to look at her beautiful necklace when she suddenly felt Harli's hand grab her own. Abigail didn't say anything when Harli held her hand and dragged her along. After a few seconds of realising what was happening, Abigail started to walk close to and alongside Harli. An even wider smile was present on her face now as she was proud of Harli's sweet gift. Abigail held on to Harli's hand as well, slightly swinging her arm back and forth. She was definitely enjoying this a lot, but despite her big smile and sudden confident look, her face was still slightly red, betraying her shyness.

They made their way around vendors, vacationers and the like as they wondered the sandy path. Harli never let go of Abigail's hand, as the two walked side by side. She could see the slight red in her friends cheeks, a red that matched her own. She had to admit that it was nice in a way, but she couldn't really pinpoint the feeling.

The day got hotter as the sun rose higher into the sky. Harli could feel herself starting to sweat in the tropical air. They came to a stop at the edge of a beach where several beings were enjoying the water. She turned to Abby and gave a shy smile, now realizing how close she was standing to her friend. "So. Do you want to go swimming now? It's definitely hot enough."

[member="Abigail Meredydd"]

While they walked so close to eachother, Abigail eventually took a small look at Harli's face and then calmed a bit when she noticed [member="Harli Hayes"] was also blushing.

As they came to a stop, Abigail looked out at the beach. A lot more beings had come out to play while Abby and Harli had been exploring their surroundings. When Harli turned to look at her, Abigail did the same and returned Harli's smile. Abigail's smile grew even brighter as she gazed at Harli's shy smile accompanied by her coloured face. It was really cute.

For a second, Abigail's shyness around Harli ebbed away, making room for her teasing humour.

"Swimming?", she asked innocently before shooting Harli a teasing smile. "I don't have a proper swimsuit. I think you just want to see me in my bikini."

She grinned as she awaited Harli's response. Abigail was too shy and giggly around Harli to think of many jokes, but this one she had used many times before. Making that joke was almost mandatory for her at this point.
