A whale of a trap [Byrn'Adûl]

Zhar grunted as he waited patiently as one of the boarding party, the Debaucher was prepared already, along with the Gravity well. They had discovered an object of interest, or, an individual of interest. A bioship, with hyperspace travel and sentience. And thus, quite simply, they were going to trap it.

[member="Bralin"], the individual in question, had already been contacted, looking for work. Made things easier for the Byrn'adul. So they gave him a meeting location and time, just a few minutes from now, and started setting their trap. And soon, that trap could be sprung.

Their intent, the Startreader would come out of hyperspace, but become stuck due to the gravity well as it poses a danger to any being going at hyperspace. Thus, this would give them the chance they needed. The Debaucher would launch into action, latching forwards onto the bio-ship and leech off its energy to try and immobilize it.

Then came the tunneling, but, that was for once their little trap begin. For now, they wait.

Bralin made his way through hyperspace to meet his newest client. The Startreader was curious about this particular job, since not much was explained, but he was still ready and willing. It was then that something began to pull on him. It felt like... planetary gravity? The biomechanical ship knew he had to leave hyperspace or risk being torn to shreds. Dang it already hurt! The ship finally left hyperspace only to see not a planet, but gravity wells. And.... he didn't know what it was. Dang it, he'd been tricked! All the ship could do now is try to get out of there.

A single Decimus Cruiser hung overhead, overseeing the operation as the Gravity well's powered up - intent on catching the Bralin bio-ship off-guard whilst it was on course to their predestined location. Two Debauchers hung overhead, ready to descend onto the bio-ship once it arrived.

Tathra was on board the Decimus Battle Cruiser, watching from its starboard deck alongside High Shaman Drek'ma and an assortment of Shaman adepts. They sensed that the bio-ship was closing, and ordered the gravity wells to fire - catching the hapless sentient cargo ship. In all of Tathra's century long lifespan, he had heard of sentient ships such as the bio-ships held by the Mandalorian production company Mandal Arms. However, a natural occurrence such as this was nothing short of peculiar.

When the ship arrived, its hyperdrive was enthralled by the Gravity Well; forcing it to halt beneath the twin Debauchers as they slowly began their decent. The Chieftain turned to Drek'ma, standing a head shorter than his Chieftain. A staunch and proud Shaman, serving at Tathra's side for nearly a decade, his jagged armour coiled around his entire form. However, no pride was visible in that moment. His eyes were entirely locked on the bio-ship.

Tathra then looked to the bio-ship, inspecting it. Its shape was strange, like a metallic flesh stretched over a bone-like interior. It's appearance was unlike any manufacturer Tathra could recall. It was alive, truly. The legends of Startreaders were not simple myth.

"A curious creature." The High Shaman spoke, his forked tongue gliding the length of his jaw as his angular features formed into a crooked smirk. "I can feel it Chieftain, its force signature echoes outward. Confused, fearful. Alone." Their was a morbid glee on the Shaman's face, turning to Tathra as he simply nodded; turning away from the starboard viewport.

The small grouping of Shamans reached out, offering a feigned refuge to the creature through the force. Then, immediately they attacked - a ocean of suppression of mental faculty forcing itself upon the ship. Do not resist. Succumb. A single Debaucher lowered, well over twice the size of the bio-ship itself. The tendrils extended, violently tearing into the strange hull of the creature as it attempted to latch onto the bio-ship.

Bralin had already ramped up to full speed before feeling something. A... calming coming over him. This was od.... Gah! Something was just flooding his mind! So many messages! Too many! He couldn't focus. The ships still continued forward, but felt something wrap around his hull, and began trying to bore into him! Thankfully his hull was holding so far. It didn't help him escape though. He began to pull and shift in different ways to try and loosen the tendrils. Maybe.... just maybe he could escape.
