A Wise Purchase[Noah Cerek]

[member="Noah Corek"]

Camellia stood in the hanger bay of the station waiting patiently for the client to arrive. This would be her first major sale as the new CEO of Rendili Stardrive, and she damn well intended to make the sale. A certain man was coming to discuss potential refits and upgrades for his vessel, an old Hammerhead Cruiser that he had somehow managed to get his hands on. That made it doubly important for her to convince the man to spend his credits for Rendili's shipyards to do the work. She wasn't about to let a Rendili designed ship be looked over and touched at another company's docks. That just wouldn't look good, especially as the company competed for business once more.

As such she would meet Noah himself once he exited whatever ship he would be arriving on the station in. To show that Rendili Stardrive took his potential business as a client very seriously. There were plenty of ideas already swirling about within her head as Camellia considered the potential work to be done on Mr. Cerek's ship. Depending on many credits the client was willing and wanting to spend, there was very much they could do to work on it.

Noah popped the joints in his neck aboard the bridge of the Solomon as it cut through Hyperspace on its way to Rendili so Noah could see about getting the ship refitted from its current state and it only seemed fit to bring it to the company that had originally built the Solomon. Noah had also done his homework on the companies new CEO, Camellia Swift. 24 years old, 1.8 meters tall, light brown hair and eyes, she had served six years in the Republic Navy and it seemed like she wasn't done yet, meaning she was most likely going to be career military. Her psych eval spoke well about her though, highly intelligent, very open minded but she had a tendency to over think things. Noah raised a eyebrow when he saw the closing statement of her psych eval though, appearently it had been written by her, and it was a bit obvious that she preferred women to men. Noah inwardly sighed at this, after looking at her file Noah had hoped a little bit she would be interested in something more then just a business relationship, but upon seeing the last sentence, Noah had figured out that like always, it was too good to be true. "Sir, we'll be dropping out of hyperspace in one minute." Noah heard the helmsman call out to which Noah nodded and waited. Once out of hyperspace Noah sent out a signal asking to come aboard.

Hearing over her comlink that a Hammerhead Cruiser had exited hyperspace, as she had requested to be informed of immediately once it entered the system, Camellia issued swift and simple orders for the station supervisor to inform the controllers in charge of planetary traffic to guide the ship in. Well, at the very least the shuttle the vessel's own and commander would likely bring over. If he was bringing the whole ship over to dock she ought to have waited to figure that out before heading to the most available hanger bay, then again she could always ask him to simply take a shuttle specifically and land where she already was, but that would impose upon the client and it wouldn't look good for customer service if she requested he land where she was to save herself a walk, then again she wasn't sure off the top of her head what the nearest open berth on the yards was that could hold the frigate and wasn't being used for construction or already holding a ship, she might be late to meeting the client then if it ended up being too far away.

Yes she did seem to have a habit of overthinking things. In the end she decided to play it by ear and see how the client wished to arrive on the station. If she had to move she'd move quick, after all she was an officer of the Defense Fleet and the Republic as well as the CEO of Rendili Stardrive, they'd ensure she met the client on time with whatever means she requested to ensure it. Nonetheless anyone who got to know her would know she tried to think of every possibility to leave no unturned threat or option. Her file was quite accurate, including the part she had edited in with the help of a friend post graduation. Although she would wonder how that copy specifically was uncovered, after all it wasn't really customary to make remarks on one's own records, even if the information was true.

Noah heard the RDF traffic controller over the comms guiding the Solomon through the crowded space over Rendili. Once they were near to the Rendili Stardrive space station, Noah traveled down to the hanger and boarded a Beskad-class Patrol Ship Noah had acquired from a OPIB impound lot on Corellia. Due to the fact that Noah was a high ranking Pyre officer, he was able to write it off as a 'resource' when he acquired it, this meant he payed next to nothing for the almost brand-new ship. Now Noah sat in it as it soared towards the stations nearest hangar in the station. Once it was inside the hangar, Noah made sure everything on his person was secure, his custom vibro-trench knives secured on his Bodo Baas Gunbelt, and a Lazy Eye Merr-Sonn Power 5 secured the Gunbelts shoulder holster. Noah heard the slight muffled thump of the landing prongs hitting the cold durasteel of the station and quickly made for the ramp, once the ramp was lowered Noah stepped off and into the hangar, waiting for a Rendili repersenative to bring him to the CEO.

The CEO would be meeting him in the hanger herself. Although she hadn't exactly expected the client to be toting enough weaponry to make installation feel the need to request he leave a few of those personal effects on his shuttle. Not that she felt overly threatened, in the enclosed space of her office and the corridors her vibroblade was a much more effective weapon than a blaster, and she was quite good with it. Plus in the hanger if the man tried anything there were plenty of bustling workers to dissuade attempting such action. Camellia understood the desire to keep oneself safe in new territory and when among strangers, but there was such a thing as decency in public and when trying to at least be courteous to the hostess.

Nonetheless she kept her gaze level and a smile light on her face as she addressed the disembarking man. "Welcome to Rendili Stardrive, I'm Camellia Swift, current CEO and Captain in the Republic and Rendili Military. I hear you have a project for our shipyards. Shall we depart to my office and conduct our business?"

Once Noah was asked to leave a few of his weapons onboard his ship, he complied, not wanting to sour anything with the people. Of course he still kept one of his trench-knives and one of his Power 5's, after all the galaxy was a dangerous place and a man had to defend himself. Once he saw the woman approach and speak to him, Noah smiled, it wasn't a fake smile that was usually given to a acquaintance or a business asscociate, it was a real smiled. "Captain Swift, it is good to see you take your work seriously, especially electing to meet me personally rather than send a goon to do it for you. But I doubt you want to hear me ramble on, lead the way."

The amount of weaponry that Mr. Cerek ended up leaving his ship with was much more reasonable. Of course one could arguably still say in what was supposed to be a secure facility such self defense measures would be unneeded, however, someone who wished to keep a few select choice gear wouldn't be chastised for their sense of safety and comfort. Besides, Camellia was merely happy so long as he wasn't walking around like some form of mobile armory that was ready to take on the whole facility. "Well I wouldn't call a company representative a goon. Maybe if I sent security or a soldier to meet you, but that hardly matters right now yes? Follow me and I'll take you to my office."

Turning about Camellia would only wait to make sure that Rendili Stardrive's next client was following before heading out of the hanger, and then from there down several halls and corridors until they would come to her office, passing the aide handling a pile of paperwork at the moment it seemed. Once inside she would offer a seat in front of her desk as she went to take her's behind it. Along the walls were a few shelves holding a number of starship models, many of them designs out of the very company she was the CEO of. "Now then we have a bit of business to do now do we not?"
