Private A Wolf Pack, Pack is a Wolf Pack Pack if a Wolf Pack could Pack Wolf

The cool breeze went through his fur. The pads on his feet touching the ground, the only sound being the rustling of the trees. His pupils narrowed as he watched his prey. Saliva salivating from the corners of his mouth as he slowly trekked his way towards the creature. As light as a feather, the black figure moved across the leaf covered ground. Closer, ever so closer did he make his way towards his prey. Then with an explosion of movement, he leapt towards the creature, it attempted to fight back, but his teeth sunk into the neck, he felt his prey go limp in his jaws.

Padding his way towards the spot where he had intended to stay the night, his prey still in his mouth as he carried it with him, it would be a good meal. He felt a shift in the wind, he dropped the slain creature and put his nose up to the wind, smelling, searching for anything that came with the new direction, he couldn't smell anything of importance, but his hair still stood on edge.

Gray walked glanced around, the clearing around him covering any good sight lines on anything that could approach him. He picked up the prey back into his teeth and began to make his way towards the cave where he would be making his rest again. His ears perking up at the slightest of sounds that came from the forest, he was on edge, even though he wasn't sure why.

A BROWN WOLF
Tags: Jesse McCoy Jesse McCoy

Naboo… It was surrounded by a great deal of greenery and rarely a dark brown wolf with pastel blue eyes, might be seen traversing the expanse of the forests. Birds high above would chirp their little songs, only for more to take up voice and carry the song on further throughout the treetops. Gently, the wind would play through the leaves, rustling them about as it danced and weaved in its own little game of hide and seek. Yet it wasn’t just the leaves that it rustled, the breeze would gently tug and play in and amongst the earthly coat of the wolf that rarely got its chance to simply be a wolf. Which was what made the event such a rare occurrence, for the animal was usually contained and hidden deep within its human half… Until now that was and the animal relished in the release of its freedom.

Paws lightly pressed into the fertile earth underneath its large frame, only to leave a paw print behind while the claws gently scattered grains of dirt into the impression as she walked with slow and deliberate steps. For the wolf’s nose was tilted upwards so then she could see up into the high treetops and watch while the birds used the gentle gusts of wind, to glide their little bodies from one tree to another. Her gaze followed one such bird until her nose picked up the faint traces of a kill and her ears flickered back to press against her head. There was another predator about and it made the beast weary. If there was another predator about, she would have to be careful and her nose changed direction, while her body soon followed afterwards.

A great deal of caution was taken and even as she padded towards the scent of blood, she still found that she was curious. Curious to wonder about what the predator was. So when she began to close in on the scent, her steps began to slow, while her gaze dropped to view the blood soaked ground where the slain had recently found its death. Take a deep breath, she noted another scent and a low growl rumbled from deep within as she lifted her head. Ears that were pressed back against her head were now shifting forwards and found that curiosity was indeed a powerful beast in and of itself.

This saw that she continued to follow where the scent led to and when she broke through into the small clearing, the wind lost its power and died down to a complete standstill. The sun dipped just then and colours of red, yellow and orange splattered across the usually blue sky. However, even with the natural change of the day, her pale blue eyes still managed to fall upon the black male wolf that rested within a cave. She even noted that he was the one responsible for the fresh scent of blood, because the evidence was plainly clear to see within his clutches.

Slowly, she lowered her head, to make her frame seem smaller for two reasons. One, she didn’t wish to cause a fight, especially while in this form and two, Aadya had never really met another lupine. The wolf had heard of them, but at the same time, never met one until now. Even then though, this one seemed slightly different somehow and she moved to take a step towards the black wolf.

However, a blue morpho butterfly gently landed upon the end of her nose. It colours rich with black and blue, caused her own pastel eyes to be drawn to the little creature that gently fluttered its delicate wings where it was perched. The little creature’s legs tickled the end of her nose and only caused her to scrunch up her nose in an attempt to avoid sneezing.

Sitting in his cave, devouring into the meal he had just caught he ate, his ears perked up, listening to the sounds for any incoming creatures that would disturb him whilst he was feeding on his prey. The sounds of the birds and the trees swaying in the breeze filled his ears as he consumed the meat set before him, the blood covering his muzzle as he ate away.
His ears perked up as he heard a sudden noise that was unfamiliar to him, standing up on his legs and he slowly began to make his way out into the field that led to the mouth of the small cave he had been staying in. The green piercing eyes caught the sight of the brown wolf.
A low growl emitted from the lowest point of his being, bearing his teeth towards the brown wolf as he padded his way towards the other wolf, his eyes watching its movements. His sense of smell was slightly covered by the blood that rested on his muzzle but he could at least tell that this was a female, even though he could clearly see this by her form.
The wind picked up slightly, the air pushing against his fur as he began to slowly circle the wolf in front of him, waiting for a response on to the purpose of why she was out there, and whether she meant any harm to him, or not.
Gray was a large wolf, even for his kind, his black fur only expanding the size of the beast, his green eyes only accenting and drawing anyone's attention towards them. He could intimidate a lot of people with his physical prowess alone, but he wasn't all bark, he had taken down many beasts, and knew how to fight if he needed to.

UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES
Tags: Jesse McCoy Jesse McCoy

The male wolf shifted within his cave, only to slowly exit without a word and with more or less a growl. Males, Aadya thought to herself and avoided huffing so then the Morpho butterfly could safely remain perched upon her nose. The brown wolf didn’t want to disturb it after all, but she could also feel a sneeze coming on and she didn’t want to accelerate that process. So instead, with a small little animal upon her nose, pastel blue eyes would follow the black wolf’s movements. A wolf who appeared to be more interested in showing a show of force rather than actually giving voice to the questions that she guessed he was asking. Who was she and why was she here? The brown wolf knew the answer to that one and even though she knew it, the question she asked herself was, did she even want to respond?

Resisting the urge to angle her head to the right; so as to not tip the butterfly from its perch, the wolf instead moved to sit back upon her haunches. Did she wish to engage? Could she be bothered to engage with such rude behaviour when she had clearly done nothing to warrant such a reaction? The human side of her told her that he just needed a hug and maybe some candy, but they were in wolf form and apparently wolves behaved in a less refined way. This wolf wanted very much to start a fight and teach this apparent male a lesson; to not start fights that he couldn’t win. On the other hand, she didn’t run very often as a wolf and starting a fight would only waste the precious time that had been carved out to explore the forested area of Naboo.

So the answer was simple to her eyes. Slowly, she rose back up onto her four paws and flicked her tail out. If this male wolf was jonesing for a fight, he would have to start it, but she wouldn’t humour him. Especially when it came to his apparent lack of manners. Aadya turned her gaze away from him, lifted her head up high and closed her eyes as she began to walk away. Don’t sneeze, don’t sneeze. She kept reminding herself as the butterfly remained perched upon the end of her nose. It must have looked like a funny sight, at least to her or an outsider anyway; because one wolf seemed more aggressive, but the other ignored such aggression and simply walked away. With a butterfly upon her nose still.

Her mistake though, was padding away with her eyes closed. Even though she had wanted to make a point and had closed her eyes for emphasis. Another point to note, was that Aadya was more human than wolf, so she didn’t think like a wild animal would. Didn’t think about potential traps set for predators and she most certainly didn’t think about other potential predators roaming about.

Her paw landed squarely inside the hidden jaws of a bear trap and the realisation came a second too late. The plate had been triggered and the jaws snapped closed around her front right paw. A howl of pain pierced the darkening sky as the brown wolf felt pain slash right up her leg. It was almost as if the contraption had cut clean through and she wished it had. However, she had forgotten all about the butterfly who was now gone and instead she looked down at her paw that was caught inside of the trap. Jaws sliced into her leg, but her paw was still connected. Blood loss would be a real problem though, she thought to herself as she tried to wrack her brain for any kind of idea to get out of her current predicament.

All the while, Aadya watched as blood oozed from the wound and was soon watering the ground underneath the trap with a thick, red liquid.

His ears perked up as he looked at the female wolf that was in front of him. Standing up to his full height he watched the wolf with curious green eyes. Watching as she, with a butterfly still perched on her nose began to walk away. This was a most curious sight indeed, and he was very confused on why she was doing as she did.
Gray had always been more feral in nature, he did have a human form, yes, but he much rather preferred the wolven form. Gray could easily turn into a human and converse with the likes of the people of the galaxy, but all they had done was taken from the man.
His eyes followed her as the brown wolf began to pad away into the forest before hearing the metallic sound of a trap clamping down on bone, hearing the howl come from the wolf. Hearing this Gray sprinted over to the wolf, seeing the form as it stood, its paw trapped inside the clutches of the metal contraption.
Gray looked at the wolf and began to pad away from the female wolf. His form ducking into the cave that he had been in before.
A few moments later he would come out in his human form, with some clothes on his skin, before coming over to the wolf and slowly letting her out of the trap, his eyes eyeing the woman as he produced some clothes for her if she wished.

INJURED

Pain throbbed from the pierced skin, flesh and bone. She was certain that from the way it felt disconnected, that the metal contraption had even managed to break the bone and her nose dipped slightly. Shallow, jagged breaths expanded her lungs, but the wolf knew that she had to bring such breathing under control otherwise panic would set in. With that though in mind, her vision darkened when her eyelids closed and not only could she hear the raspy intake and exhale of air, the brown wolf could also hear the sound of her heartbeat. A sound which reminded her of a loud drum beating rapidly to the tune of the adrenaline that was coursing through her veins. Panic could very well be a problem and it wasn’t something that the woman normally felt.

Normally. She could have dealt with this if she had been in human form with opposable thumbs. Instead, she was caught in a trap, in a form that she wasn’t at all comfortable in. A form that she usually spent every waking hour denying till she couldn’t avoid the pressure build up anymore and just had to go for a run. However, instead of giving in to panic, she slowly exhaled and looked to find some way to escape the current prison that she found herself in and that was when she smelled him. The male wolf from before whose only response had been to growl at her. Her head whipped around to growl at the other wolf, but instead what she saw was a man who smelled like the wolf and the growl never made it past her throat.

Pale blue eyes watched him as he approached her and she paid attention to every movement he made. That was until he knelt down to release her paw from the trap and she pulled away quickly while keeping her injured paw up and off the ground. He offered her clothes, but she had to shift first and that was a process which would be a challenge in and of itself. For Aadya always struggled with the wolf counterpart, but considering that she had gone for a run, it meant that the shift from wolf to human was a little easier. However it was still a slower shift than most and soon she was crouched low, naked as the day she was born, cradling her broken and bleeding wrist. Then slowly, the woman rose up from her position upon the ground and reached out to take the offered clothes.

After wriggling into the clothes, she tore a strip off the bottom of the shirt and held it out to the man. ”Can you help me stem the flow of this so then I can actually make it back to the city and get a doctor to fix this for me?” She queried the male and nodded her head at her wrist, ”I would do it myself, but I might as well utilise you while you’re in a helpful mood.” Aadya would then chuckle and she shook her head, ”I’m kidding. The name is Aadya and thanks for helping me out of that trap.” The woman said as she set about wrapping the makeshift bandage around her clearly broken wrist and avoided wincing with the pain. She could feel the bone scraping against bone and she wondered about the break. If it wasn’t clean, they would definitely have to get it fixed quickly.

Even as she wrapped, blood soon soaked the material and she sighed. Even though there was a very real danger of bleeding out, all that she could think of was that her right hand was her dominant shooting hand. ”Well, we better get a move on,” Aadya finally said as she held her injured hand close to her chest and began to walk back to the city. That was until she paused long enough to look back at the man. ”Are you coming McGrouchy?”

The man would look at the wolf as it sat there helplessly looking upon him for a moment before he saw the changes that were happening to the ball of fur that was in front of him. He avoided his gaze, allowing the woman some privacy, holding on the clothes that he had brought for her in front of him. He politely waited as he felt her snatch the clothes from his hand, giving a few more moments before he finally heard the woman's voice chirp up as he glanced at the woman, the man somewhat surprised by the look of the woman before him.
As she tore the strip from the bottom half of her clothes he shook his head and took out some material from his bag and began to wrap her wound, making a make-shift sling for her arm to allow for her wrist to be kept still, as to not further the damage to the wound anymore than it had to. Reaching back he grabbed a canteen that he had brought with him, putting some water on the wound to clean it out a little. His green eyes glancing over the wound before he slowly screwed the lid back on before helping the woman up.
Looking at the woman as she kept talking he just gave a soft sigh and made his way with her, his green eyes glancing over her form a bit searching for any other potential injuries that she might have acquired, not noticing any he gave a soft nod to himself before his green eyes met hers, as their strides led them towards the nearest form a civilization.
"Just call me Gray."
The man spoke, his voice low and rough, he looked pretty wild, to begin with, having long shaggy hair and a full beard to compliment this. Some considered him to look very primal even when he wasn't in his wolven form. He gave the slight impression that he hadn't talked to another person in a while when he spoke to her, being used to traveling around in his other form.
