A world of Ash and Dust

How long had it been since she had given Val'Ryss the translated tome that spoke of Miasma. At that moment the Dark Lady felt that perhaps nothing would come of it, that she would be left forgotten and the offer that had been given was no longer worth of the words used to speak of it. Quietly she sat in the Dark Temple, feeling the ancient nexus of power that surrounded it, filled it as she kept her eyes closed. Standing before an alter she remained silent as the whispers within her began to scream louder and louder of her betrayal. She said nothing in response, nor did she rebuke the accusations or words that were thrown. Rather she pushed the whispers away, forcing them to be quiet as she remained standing. Her eyes closed before they quickly shot open as her arms slowly came down to her sides.

"It's time."

The Dark Lady spoke as she slowly pivoted upon her back foot, spinning around to look upon the large open entrance to the ancient temple. Moving from the alter she made her way towards the dim light that filtered into the entrance. Slowly moving up the steps as she stopped upon the final step. Looking out over the ash covered world as she allowed a simple smirk to cross her lips. The wind blowing as her double skirt danced upon the gust that swirled around her.

This had been her home for so long now, though even after all that was to come was said and done, it would still remain such. There was still much that she could learn from the ancient Ti'Xal that had once inhabited this world. There was much of their ancient relics, tomes and artifacts that remained hidden in the darkness, waiting to be found and brought into the light once more. They would be useful, these ancient tools of the darkness. The world was stepped in it, as if something deep within the world emitted the dark side and covered the world in the thick blanket. For many it was difficult to breath on the world, not from the ash or dust, yet from the fear they felt as they moved across the surface of the ash covered world.

Quietly she closed her eyes again, standing before the Dark Temple as she awaited her guest. The Dark Lady remained standing still as if she were a statue. Listening quietly to the sounds that danced upon the wind. Now was the time that she would find out if her offer and invitation to her home was taken upon or if it were left to gather dust of its own.

Standing on the ash covered landscape of the dark world Hauntruss folded her dark robes to cover her form. Slowly the blackened figure approached her new friend from behind as she gazed at the entrance to a ruined temple structure. Hauntruss' eyes watched Marmora and nodded. "So this is the resting place of Miasma. Hiss, hiss, hiss. Intriguing." Hauntruss laughed, "In my time studying the darkside and the deities, magic and forces behind the, I have learned Sith Curses, ancient Adas Magic and the Bogan rituals of the old ji'daii. But never have I come across this Miasma. I thank you for the tome by the way, a fascinating read."

Hauntruss approached Marmora and nodded towards the dark bowels of the temple. "What is our task her today my friend." Hauntruss hissed. She could feel a powerful force pulling at the both of them. This should prove for entertaining adventure.

"Freedom."

The Dark Lady spoke the simple single worded answer to the question that was poised as to what there task was that day. It had taken time to find that which she was sent to seek out and now it was within her grasp. The whispers would soon stop to some degree, as the loudest one continued to hiss deeply within her mind. It was a whisper that she could never seem to control, one that she could never push away that always screamed in the back of her mind and demanded attention, just as it screamed now. The loud booming, hissing demand for its freedom.

"RELEASSSSSSE MEEEEE!"

It screamed louder as she stood there silently, closing her eyes and focusing before they shot open once more to look upon the Dark Temple that they stood before. Quietly she ran a hand along her side, a motion that seemed to calm herself before she regained the full control of her thoughts. Looking upon the woman that had so graciously welcomed her into her home and asked for her to become an apprentice. This was the last step for the Dark Lady before she would accept such a thing. Then perhaps the Order of the One and the Sith Brotherhood that Val'Ryss spoke of could come together for a greater reason.

"This Dark Temple was to be the home of my own order. The rebirth of an ancient right. Now it remains empty save for myself. It would be a fitting place to train others. Stepped in the Dark Side."

With a quiet motion she moved forward, approaching the large and ancient doors of the temple. Her hands pressing against each side as she stepped forward. Listening as the old rusted gates slowly screeched open, screaming as they were forced from their resting place. With in was a large open hall, though this was not the true complex. The true majesty of the temple lay beneath them.
