How long had it been since she had given Val'Ryss the translated tome that spoke of Miasma. At that moment the Dark Lady felt that perhaps nothing would come of it, that she would be left forgotten and the offer that had been given was no longer worth of the words used to speak of it. Quietly she sat in the Dark Temple, feeling the ancient nexus of power that surrounded it, filled it as she kept her eyes closed. Standing before an alter she remained silent as the whispers within her began to scream louder and louder of her betrayal. She said nothing in response, nor did she rebuke the accusations or words that were thrown. Rather she pushed the whispers away, forcing them to be quiet as she remained standing. Her eyes closed before they quickly shot open as her arms slowly came down to her sides.
"It's time."
The Dark Lady spoke as she slowly pivoted upon her back foot, spinning around to look upon the large open entrance to the ancient temple. Moving from the alter she made her way towards the dim light that filtered into the entrance. Slowly moving up the steps as she stopped upon the final step. Looking out over the ash covered world as she allowed a simple smirk to cross her lips. The wind blowing as her double skirt danced upon the gust that swirled around her.
This had been her home for so long now, though even after all that was to come was said and done, it would still remain such. There was still much that she could learn from the ancient Ti'Xal that had once inhabited this world. There was much of their ancient relics, tomes and artifacts that remained hidden in the darkness, waiting to be found and brought into the light once more. They would be useful, these ancient tools of the darkness. The world was stepped in it, as if something deep within the world emitted the dark side and covered the world in the thick blanket. For many it was difficult to breath on the world, not from the ash or dust, yet from the fear they felt as they moved across the surface of the ash covered world.
Quietly she closed her eyes again, standing before the Dark Temple as she awaited her guest. The Dark Lady remained standing still as if she were a statue. Listening quietly to the sounds that danced upon the wind. Now was the time that she would find out if her offer and invitation to her home was taken upon or if it were left to gather dust of its own.
