Loyalties: The Primeval (to a degree), but more importantly her home, Echoy'la
Role: An NPC Warlord meant to be disposed of by a PC interested in becoming the Warlord of the world that the NPC Warlord currently holds.
Development Threads: The Subjugation of Echoy'la: Chapter 1 (Non-Faction Members Please PM), not yet utilized in the thread, but upon approval will most likely be used here to act as the thread antagonist.
Age: 23
Species: Human
Force Sensitivity: Yes (Passive/Untrained/Unknowing)
Appearance: The young and lithe, but athletically built woman, is a redheaded, blue eyed, no-nonsense looking sort of gal. She does have a cybernetic implant surrounding her left eye, which helps to improve her vision to normal levels, as she did have lazy eye, but also allows her to see in infrared, and an increased sense of hearing in her left ear. Like all of her vode, she wears armor religiously, donning only the basic aliit'gam, having not the prestige yet to don full Beskar'gam of her own forging. Her armor is mostly green, representing a Duty to her people and family of Echoy'la, highlighted by a yellowish-gold, representing her need for Vengeance against all those who wronged her people.
Personality: Ray, is enormously loyal and dedicated to her own kind and those she loves, and will do literally anything to ensure their safety... even if means consorting with people or factions typically or normally seen as outsiders or rarely, as enemies. She has no fear when it comes to getting dirty, both physically, and morally, in order to achieve her goals, believe slightly that certain actions are merely a means to a noble end: The protection of her oppressed peoples. For this, she receives both praise and a more than fair amount of warning from her peers, to which she takes to heart as best as she can, knowing they advise her with their superior wisdom against her youth. If she is ever betrayed however, you better watch out, because she will use everything at her disposal to exact vengeance swiftly, and most likely, painfully. She does not believe that revenge is best served cold, she wants the immediate gratification of slaughtering the bastard who wronged her or her people. Some say that this is a mostly impulsive behavior, and a stateswoman, it does not make in her.
Weapon of Choice: She most often prefers more standard equipment, such as blaster rifles and the typical gimmicks of a Mandalorian, but has taken a more specific liking to slugthrower weapons and has a vast assortment at her disposal. She will use anything on hand, even nothing, however, to destroy her enemies. Not being a tank however, she has learned that a more subtle approach to a situation, using stealth, is often the best means of going about it. Sometimes you don't need ten soldiers with rocket launchers, when just a shiv in the back will do.
Wealth: Like the rest of her people, she is not substantially wealthy, but holds great desires to hold all that was taken from them from their current oppressors, and essentially hold Echoy'la Ransom in order to protect it from their aggression. As such, she is akin to a Pirate, who has wealth among her people, but not a substantial enough amount to call her wealthy.
Combat Function: Ray will make frequent use of cover, and using higher ground, as well as unorthodox methods of using the battlefield to her advantage. If she can help it, she will stay a ranged target, but if need be she will sneak towards an enemy to attempt to catch them by surprise in melee. If she is taken surprise, she is proficient enough with her beskad to fend off attacks long enough to find a better position to unleash her more appropriate weapons in her arsenal.
Strengths:
- Expert Ranged fighter: Aaray'ad has been shooting targets all of her life, and recognizes and frequently utilizes the all important use of cover and suppressive fire. She often uses the battlefield to her immediate advantage whenever possible to grant her greater maneuverability and protection than her target. It also helps that her left eye can see in the infrared, with slightly improved hearing in her left ear, and has a passive force potential that moderately improves her impressive ranged capabilities.
- Stealthy: Given her small, lithe frame, and recognizing the importance of subterfuge (along with her passive force potential), Aaray'ad often finds herself capable of sneaking past and behind her enemies for surprise attacks.
- Unorthodox Strategist: Given her background, and her fondness for utilizing every advantage she can squeeze out of a situation (such as using the battlefield against her enemies), her intelligent mind often finds solutions around problems that are less than traditional or extremely pragmatic. This makes her something of a maverick against her enemies that don't know her, as she often comes at them from angles they would not have expected.
- Not Incredibly Powerful: Focused more on speed and maneuverability given her ranged and stealth orientated strategies, her body, although athletic, is simply not built for heavy duty close quarters combat where muscle is pitted against muscle. She is far more likely to escape in these situations, or hit and run tactics, than to confront physically more powerful opponents, lest she be overpowered.
- Emotionally Guided: Given her strong attachment to her home and the people within it, losing people to the enemy, or facing something like a hostage situation will often break down her more logical orientated strategies to obtain victory, which is almost certain to be a critical mistake. Her penchant for a quick and abruptly immediate revenge is more of a curse than a strength, as her emotions will interfere with her mission if she is emotionally attacked.
- Conditionally Impulsive: Although not ordinarily so, Aaray'ad can find herself into extremely impulsive situations when confront with a scenario that involves the loss of those she is trying to protect.
Beyond the force however, she is an excellent ranged combatant, and proficient melee artist. Her skills in strategy are fairly developed for her age as well, but she is exceptionally unorthodox, providing her with unique advantages that her enemies don't expect when they aren't aware of who she is... but it comes at the cost that she may be more impulsive and less strategic if she is losing men from the unconventional tactics.
She also happens to play a mean Bes'bev, both musically and physically.
Notable Possessions: Reinforced Durasteel Basic 'Aliit'gam' Armor, various slugthrowers, Jetpack, Bes'bev, Shivs
Other Notes: There isn't much history to go off of when considering the youth of Aaray'ad Ba'jurir and where she grew up. Echoy'la was essentially a concentration camp, on which she was born into, with a father and mother oppressed by their overseers in the Sith Empire. She was very young at that point, and although she holds deep resentment for the Sith and what they had done to her people, she has only a few, but vivid, memories of their occupation.
Later in life, the a group of Mandalorians and the Levantine Sanctum would arrive and liberate them from the control of the secrete Sith Imperial Facility, indebting them to the Sanctum. Later on further however, while Ray was in the midst of being trained by her family and clansmen, all of which decided to stay in Echoy'la'yaim, it would come to pass that a horrific event would occur... the Netherworld event.
It shattered the family as nearly half the population of the galaxy simply vanished... never to be seen again. It struck remote worlds with little information on the rest of the galaxy, like her family on Echoy'la, extremely hard. They had no means to understand what this great rapturing was... and could do nothing but honor the namesake of their home: Mourn.
It wasn't until the Primeval shattered their remoteness once more, and wrestled control of the system, that Aaray'ad would start to become her own woman, dedicated to the life of leading her people to victory... whatever that may be. At first seeing the Primeval as an enemy to rebel against, she later had become aware of the awesome power the diasporic empire had at its command, and decided instead that the Primeval could not be her enemy... but her means to control the fate of her planet through its hierarchy, and protect it from the outsiders within the Primeval that would seek to exploit her people and the rare natural resources they guarded in Mandalorian Iron.
Usinger her charm and determined words, she is quickly gaining favour among some of the Primeval Elite who often recruit individuals to high ranks of power, such as Warlord, and is the current favorite candidate among those who would back her. But once they have served their purpose in supplying her with the necessary resources to rule a planet and protect it from invasion, possibly even to expand, she'll turn on them. She has other plans for Echoy'la that don't involve extorting its resources to outsiders.
Currently, Aaray'ad Ba'jurir acts as the unofficial Warlord of Echoy'la, and continues to use every advantage and resource at her disposal to protect her home from exploitation, deceiving her Primeval backers into believing she will uphold her loyalties to them upon reaching power.
Intent: An NPC Warlord meant to be disposed of by a PC interested in becoming the Warlord of the world that the NPC Warlord currently holds.
