I will be the first to admit that it didn't go anywhere near as planned and ultimately wound up being a flop. It wasn't entirely at a loss though, as the Red Ravens earned a few new toys and the Novas are getting my next big thing. People actually supported the cause, which is all I could ever really want.
As far as relations go, the Crystalsong Commonwealth (and by extension, the Ri'essi Union) holds no ill will towards the Sanctum. Rave Merrill remains a wanted individual, but it's been made very clear it was much wiser to adopt the traditional mercs/hunters/assassins approach and simply catch her in neutral ground, than actually expect others to care if she'd committed a crime or not since it wasn't committed on their lands.
The thread didn't go as planned, and admittedly is finding an awkward conclusion, but that's because I as a writer can't keep up with the stress it brings. That is not to say that this is the fault of any participant. The whole concept in general was just a mess.
It is my hopes that, bounty hunters sending ships to their deaths above Crystalsong notwithstanding, things will start turning back to normal after this. The Crystalsong Commonwealth is a faction I wanted to grow and inspire others to grow with me. Coalesce was an off-shoot thing that we tried and failed, and I hope that doesn't change anyone's opinion of the faction itself.
As for Kurah, I am retiring her. I had a brief muse for her and this has eaten that brief muse up. Alachei may or may not be making a return soon, though!
Aynea will be at a severely slowed post rate for the next couple of months as I work on developing other characters such as Manamune (and possibly Alachei
).
TL;DR: The giant armada idea was a grand idea on paper, it flopped in execution, and it was just natural character progression. It's been agreed, we're going back home and that'll be the end of it. I hope the thread hasn't rustled anyone's feather's OOC.
