There were rules in place for people like them. Bounty Hunters...-Those who kept order in the Galaxy where the influence of Governments did not or could not reach. Not all Hunters were willing to abide by the standards of another, but for those who held themselves to a professional standard and took the life, the risks and the notoriety that came with it to heart, The Bounty Hunter's Guild would ensure regular employment, access to high-grade utilities and a sense of protocol and respect within the lifestyle that often made freelancers look like space trash.

Primarily, what set the Guild apart from the Freelancers was the Bounty Hunter's Creed. It was also the reason that Vrun Ryssic was tracking a contract across the Outer Rim, not in order to collect but to answer the request made of the Bounty Hunter's Guild by the target herself. Had Alana Calloway been any slower, and the Trandoshan might have taken up the job before she could call to parlay.

A Member of the Guild did not hunt another Associate of the Bounty Hunters Guild. Failing to abide by the Code of the Guild would most often result in ex-communication and in some cases also landing you with a price on your head, to be hunted by your former associates. The life of a Bounty Hunter was diverse and unforgiving, yet the Code held all Guild Members to a standard of professionalism and this was why they were recommended so highly, and paid just the same.

The Trandoshan Vrun Ryssic sat in the chair of the Nebulon Ulysses as the Light Freighter travelled through hyperspace. Yellow snake-like eyes looked to the Navigations Terminal which detailed the vessel's destination and flight plan. This Alana Calloway Alana Calloway had made something of a name for herself within the Outer Rim as a freelance Bounty Hunter, yet recently made contact with the Guild which kept her hide intact for the time being as far as Vrun was concerned. The same could not be said for other Freelancers, however, and with her status under the Guild not yet defined, the Trandoshan was required to make contact before determining what further action would be required.

To stick his neck out for an associate unfamiliar to him was rare for the Trandoshan, however there were certain times where exceptions needed to be made in order for the Guild to prosper. The needs of the Guild came before the needs of the individual, and while the Trandoshan was hardly the generous type, he was honour-bound to uphold the code and the standards that defined them.

"Two shots of Vosh please! His tab." The eyes of the Twi'lek who sat beside her narrowed. The sleazy-looking barkeep, a Gran by the looks of it, nodded in their direction. The Twi'lek simply kept going. "Can you deliver, or not?" Neri wove his question away. "I could fly a Bantha for those creds. So don't worry 'bout it, I got ya fam." There were plenty of reasons why no other smuggler wanted to take this particular job. Why the contractor searched in a corner of the Outer Rim like this. "Good. As I said, we'll provide the freighter." The Twi'lek paused when the barkeep approached. "Two shots for ya. Enjoy." He muttered, absently minded as he moved on to the next customers. Neri, grateful for the long awaited 'refreshment', immediately reached for her small glass. "Your supposed cargo is a bulk order of transparisteel, meant to be delivered to Celanon" She offered the Twi'lek the other shot glass. "Celanon? That's a long haul. And New Imperial territory no less." Oh, if looks could kill. "Not. Yet." She shrugged. It was all the same to her, really. "Your real cargo..." His voice had grown a little colder. "Is a shipment of ten E-webs and four dozen crates with disruptor rifles." Neri let out a low whistle. "That's uhm... a lot" The Twi'lek continued, unperturbed. "The buyer is the Imperial Remnant, they'll contact you when you're in orbit." kriff.

But there were no take backs now.

"Sounds good. Who's gonna be my copilot?" She was definitely not going to do this alone. "We're still looking. If you have any suggestions, we'll consider them." She nodded - not that she had any friends or people she considered 'trustworthy', but being given the option was certainly nice.

"Cheers. I'll drink to that" Neriya Dahle, who had once again miscalculated, raised her glass. Perhaps this would somehow turn out fine. Perhaps.

Alana's boots clang down the ramp, her hand tapping on the grip of her pistol, though the huntress was nothing if not prepared for the day that awaited it. It was a big day for her, sorta. She bit down on the death stick cartage in her mouth and inhaled, her mind fumbling with how she would make herself known. She was after a target you see, one that gave her that strange feeling in her gut, and made her a bit weak in the knees. Well, not exactly, but it was complicated. She had bumped into Neri not too long ago, the woman was casing the same place that Alana had stumbled into, but the young woman's image had just lingered with the huntress for the past few weeks. It was for that reason that she had noticed Neri's face on the wanted poster, and even more so why she was so damn tense about how to approach her.
Yea, she had a crush, that was true. But, Neri was in a hell of alot of trouble if someone got a hold of her. Alana had come her to collect alright, but not exactly on the bounty. Well, honestly it was complicated, in fact, what the feth was she doing? She halted, her brow furrowing, before someone slammed into her from behind. The deathstick between her teeth feel the the ground, and the huntress herself was greatly irked, she turned about, but found herself unable to conjure forth any meaningful words to the man who had bumped her. She merely stepped out of the way, eyes closing in frustrations as she would let the stranger pass, her fingers brushing against the front of her brow. 'Come on Alana, get your head on straight.'
If she was gonna try and confront Neri, having a case of the butterflies wasn't gonna do her no good.
