Aryn let out a sigh as he sat atop the speeder he had hired from a local farmer, his gaze spread out across the plateau of green fields and rivers of the Khoonda Plains. It was a stark opposite to what Aryn had grown used to on Coruscant, there were no speeders trailing through great streams of traffic in the sky, no holovid advertisements on each corner, and not even a building or a human being for miles all around. Even starships were scarce among the pristine and perfect skies of Dantooine, the world being too far from any major hyper lanes to be warranting any great deal of interest. As he sat, Aryn found it almost bizarre in thinking that he was now deep within what he would consider enemy territory. Dantooine was far within the borders of the Sith Empire, and yet the planet seemed to have been left vastly untouched by the dark hands of the Sith themselves. It seemed as though there was some silent and unspoken rule, some hidden pact to protect the relative peace and beauty of Dantooine itself. Dantooine had passed through the hands of a thousand different governments and empires, and yet everything here remained remarkably perfect, and calm.
In the back of his mind, Aryn marked a small spot on one of the large green fields, overlooking one of the many rivers that trailed across Khoonda. One day, when age had wearied him and the Alliance passed from his control and his mind, he would come back here and live in peace. Aryn was no farmer, and he certainly couldn't have stood to live in a manor the like that he had spent his childhood in. A cantina, yes, that's what he'd put there.
The best Cantinas were always far from watchful eyes, and there was no better place to fade into obscurity.
Taking another bite of the Shuura he'd stolen from a poor farmer's field. Aryn climbed off the hood of the speeder and moved back into the driver's seat, starting off once more towards the ruins of the old enclave. Tracking down the enclave itself had not been difficult, the enclave itself and the history of the Jedi who had been there was in many cases one of Dantooine's only real calls to fame, and learning that Vrook Lamar had been one of the Jedi Masters at the enclave was even easier once someone knew where to look.
However, the enclave was perhaps the only significant mark of the Sith Empire's hold on Dantooine. Over thousands of years the old enclave had been destroyed, rebuilt and destroyed again. But since taking control of the world, the Sith had erected a new, dark academy of their own in its place. The chances of Aryn accessing the academy itself were not only unlikely, it was impossible considering the reputation he'd built up. Luckily, his research into the Exile's history, and the assistance of [member='Taeli Raaf'] had ensured Aryn knew where else to look.
Taking a wide berth away from the academy itself, Aryn moved further along the plains until the ancient structure he'd been informed of came into view. While the Sith had focused their attention upon the old enclave, these once-destroyed ruins had been forgotten to time. It was a wonder to Aryn that Taeli had even been able to gather the information necessary to uncover them, yet she had seemed even more resourceful as time went on, and furthermore, crucial to his efforts.
Parking his speeder a short distance from the entrance of the ancient ruins, Aryn climbed from the driver's seat and made his way down the steep incline towards the door. The rubble at the entrance had already been cleared, causing a brief raise of an eyebrow from the Jedi as he drew his lightsaber from his belt. He figured easily that one of the Sith at the academy could've discovered the ruins and searched them, but how recently that had been and whether the ruins were currently empty was up in the air as the Jedi continued into the darkness.
