ACS-601 Mk1 Dragon’s Breath Slugthrower Ammunition
Image: Here
Intent: Provide Special Ammunition for Slugthrowers
Development Thread: As Needed
Manufacturer: ArmaTech Combat Systems
Model: Mk1
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: May be created for any Caliber Slugthrower
Production: Minor
Material: Durasteel, Magnesium, Bronzium
Description:
Consisting of a thin durasteel coating and a mild steel cup surround magnesium shards, when it fires from the weapon it erupts, emitting sparks, flames, and white hot shards burning at about 3,000° Celsius. The round is visually impressive, similar in effect to a short range flamethrower, spraying shards across a path about six meters in length, leaving a target covered in burning magnesium shards. The shards are difficult to extinguish, having to be completely submerged in water to have the desired extinguishing effect, and emit a bright white light, possibly blinding their potential victim in the process. The shards burn out after about one minute, more than enough time to cause permanent damage. The down fall of the round is that it has almost no ability to puncture armor, or even flesh, meaning all damage it might cause will be external. It is only truly effective against light armored or unarmed opponents and opponents with exposed areas.
