DESCRIPTION
A standard blaster pistol of average size, this weapon is equipped with a power pack capacity for fifty shots (thirty when using sig or another powerful gas formula) and enough blaster gas to last one hundred shots. The power packs simply need to be ejected and replaced, as one would a cartridge, and blaster gas canisters can quickly be replaced in the standard method. This weapon is typically only effective within a personal range, and its accuracy drops when engaging in sustained fire. An alternating dual-barrel system increases redundancy (the gun will still fire if only one barrel is operational) and ensures that the Adeptive-9 will not overheat due to sustained fire.

The Adeptive-9 is often found in survival packs, Outer Rim colonies and outposts, and the defense forces of ORC member worlds. It's a generic blaster that has the unique advantage of working with a wide variety of gas canisters, gas types, and power cells. Notably, it's possible to keep an Adeptive-9 in ammunition indefinitely using nothing more than a Solid Fuel/Ration Converter with the appropriate attachments.
