- Cumbersome: Being rather large and heavy the Ad'ika is a cumbersome and awkward weapon to use and handle, which is often why members of House Corek train with it from an early age
Like many of the weapons produced by the House Corek Forges for the members of House Corek, the Ad'ika is a generational design, having been passed down for centuries with each generation making small incremental changes and improvements to improve the weapon and make it better fit into modern times. The Ad'ika in its current state is the product of many technological advances in slugthrower technology recently and from the ideas and input of many members of the house.
A unique design feature of the Ad'ika is that it feeds from a magazine placed in front of the grip rather than inside the grip. As a consequence the pistol feeds from the back of the magazine rather than the center and as such it is somewhat awkward to reload magazines.
The current Ad'ika model consists of almost a complete metallic construction with the slide, frame, internal mechanisms and barrel being crafted from a Titanium-Durasteel alloy, chosen for its durability yet lightweight. The barrel is lined with chromium to reduce wear and tear from repeated use and the entire pistol itself is coated in CeramiCoat for the same reason. The only non-metallic material used in the pistol's construction is a pair of rubber pads on the grip to make it more comfortable to shoot.
The Ad'ika has many features you'd expect to find on a slugthrower pistol and some you wouldn't. It has fully ambidextrous controls to make shooters more comfortable no matter the hand they shoot with. Rear slide serrations assist with cocking by giving the user a better grip on the slide, a threaded barrel allows for the user to mount things such as suppressors to the pistol and a textured grip gives the user a more firm grasp when shooting. A unique feature of the Ad'ika is the ability to magnetize the grip to make it so the user can't have the pistol taken from them without extreme force.
