Physical and Mental Traits
- Mind Shield - Like many Epicanthix, Adrastia has a significant inborn talent for resisting Mind-Affecting Force Powers. This isn't infallible, but it's handy nonetheless.
- Runt of the Litter - At one-hundred-and-seventy-two centimeters tall, Adrastia is eight centimeters shorter than most 'short' Epicanthix, and a full twenty-nine centimeters shorter than her father. She's also physically weak, and even the average human woman can outperform her slightly in feats of physical strength.
- Elegance and Grace - Thankfully, what Adrastia lacks in strength, she makes up for in agility, finesse, and a steady hand. She's also ambidextrous, and, during practice duels with her father's royal guard, she's known to occasionally switch hands mid-fight for the fun of it.
- Cognitive Empathy Deficit - The part of Adrastia's brain that handles the intuitive understanding of body language, tone, and other such emotional cues is defective. She has a hard time picking up on subtle emotional indicators, and can't pinpoint even somewhat obvious ones with much precision. She confuses exhaustion for sadness on a regular basis, for example, and cannot tell the difference between a genuine smile and a convincing fake. That said, extremely obvious indicators, such as crying, laughter, and what have you, she can see as easily as anyone. She also has no deficit in affective empathy, unlike, say, her father; the emotional distress of others causes her mood to sink, and being around a cheerful person makes her day just a bit brighter, even if she can't always identify why.
- Lifebane - The Dark Side flows through and out of Adrastia, causing grass to die at her feet, flowers to wilt as she passes, and insects and other tiny animals to die if they wander too close to her. This makes hiding her passing particularly difficult in some places, but on the plus side, she never needs to buy insect repellant. This has no appreciable effect on creatures weighing more than a few ounces, nor does it affect sithspawned plants or animals.
- Passively Anarchist - Adrastia both chafes under authority and has no interest in holding authority over others, save perhaps in the way an instructor holds authority over a student. One could call her an anarchist, but that would be an insult to those who actually put effort into the ideology; Adrastia, at least for the moment, has no political ambitions or schemes, and no interest in being swept up in anyone else's. She simply wants to be left to her work.
