OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Redesigned to be a slightly superior form of the Afterglow panels. The advanced model has better collection capabilities with the inclusion of a tobal lens into the sheet over the surface. This allows it to convert heat to light and the glass will collect it to improve the energy output of each panel. Still notable is its able to emit a soft glow and appears almost like a thin sheet of ice coating the glass. Closer inspection shows that there are thousands of machined faceted areas on the surface. looking like an insects eye with millions of tiny flat surfaces slanting in all directions. The intricacy of it allows minor amounts of light to diffuse across the facets creating a small soft glow of the panels. They have worked to turn them into a largely superior version of what they once were and the panels can be used in just about anything.
- Intent: To upgrade and update the afterglow panels
- Canon Link: n/A
- Permissions: My Subs
- Primary Source: Afteglow Panels
- Manufacturer: Saotome Foundry
- Affiliation: Closed-Market
- Model: Advanced Afterglow Panels
- Modularity: Can be for anything using a viewport
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material:
- General Protection: Designed to be a starship viewport, it isn't really stronger then average panels but it is strong enough so that is won't crack and fail from a small piece of debris hitting it at high speeds
- Solar collection capabilities that converts solar winds and heat into power and even light that cna be channeled through the small fractal design to illuminate the room and area.
- View ports: Structurally one of the weakest parts of a ship.
