Advanced Basics: Weapons and the force~

Iziz had been called to order, though he felt like he was getting a much better view on the nature of the force, he was beginning to feel like that the tools at his disposal were not as diverse as he would have liked, though his tail and his weapons were up to par with some of the most formiddable he had seen amongst the assassins, his skills did not seem to be up to par to wield them. Though, his combat skills and his own prowess and speed were getting vastly better over time, some opponents were not going to be felled by prowess with a blade or by speed alone, as difficult as it was to say.

But, thankfully, the Jawa had a master who seemed to understand the predicament, ever since the thread where he had slain the Terentatek on the Moon of Tython, Iziz had the honour of being 'the' apprentice of Darth Ferus, a warrior who was infamous for his skill with a lightsaber and even more dangerously, the powerful abilities he had at his disposal to reinforce it. Iziz had been called by his master to the training area in a hopes to learn some of those skills so that he may develop them later, and over time, though, he had no idea what he was in for, he had been somewhat studious in recent days, looking through the archives for abilities which would strike his fancy, one of them in particular seemed to stand out to him, there were records from the days of the old republic that there were light-saber forms which seemed to completely revolve around the increase of one's connection to the force, and empowering the abilities therein...

Iziz could only imagine the speeds which he would be able to attain with such powers at his command.

But for now, he sat on top of one of the structures in the training arena, looking around for any sign of his master... it was highly possible he was already here, merely veiled within the fabric of the force, but, if that were so, at Iziz's level of mastery, there would be no way possible for himself to attempt to sense the presence of the Darth...

So, he waited.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

Ferus began to hum as he walked into the room with [member="Iziz Vei"] within. There was no attempt on his part to hide his aura, no care on being found out. For once, the Darth felt no reason to hide himself, especially from the Jawa. His own apprentice. Unknown to Iziz, or perhaps he did know, he was one of three main apprentices to Ferus, but the only one that hadn't actually been trained by the Lord since their first meeting.

This wasn't because did not like the small Sith, or because he forget, but simply because the little one did not need it. Out of all three of his apprentices, Iziz was the strongest, the one ahead of the rest. But they were catching up in their skills, and it was the Jawa that was beginning to lag behind.

The Darth took it as his own fault, as it was. Now, with both hands behind his head, he stepped into the room to rectify this mistake with a new lesson, one he was sure the little Sith would enjoy.

"It's good to see you in good health. We'll be starting your next lesson now, this one involving Force Weapon. A skill that can make items resistant to lightsabers or, and this is my personal favorite, channeling force abilities through weaponry. A force push through a sword, lightning from a dagger."

To emphasize, the Zabrak drew forth his own small dagger from his boot. Lightning cackled visibly along it's edge as he channeled the energies through it, a smile on his lips. "I'll be teaching you the second."

Iziz looked up at [member="Darth Ferus"] , he had heard about the technique, and it bought a smile to his lips as it seemed it would be this skill which he was to learn from his master. The technique had an amount of renown, and with Iziz's steel tail and his light-sabers, it would be a powerful addition to his already broadening repitoire. His skill with his tail was getting even better over time, and his skills in his stealth and force speed were still notable. Though, he cocked his head at his master whom strolled into the area, not thinking that he would have simply strolled in so casually. Iziz had to admit, although he knew how powerful his master was, though never having witnessed his power or how dangerous he was first hand, Ferus did not exactly command a threatening presence when he was training or simply talk to his acolytes, not unlike some of the other Dark Lords which had walked the halls of Korriban, those who struck fear into the hearts of their pupils, some would probably, to some accuracy, claim that Ferus himself did not follow the code of the sith on some level, however, should Iziz paint Ferus with that brush, he would quickly find himself painted.

"It's good to see you master... I'm ready to learn anything that you would deem it appropriate to do so... would such a skill be able te empower the blades of a lightsaber? Or multi sectioned things like my tail?"

He asked in sheer inquisitive nature, hoping to learn, speaking now not in jawanese, not in the language of the pheromones nor in the jawa trade language, is actual understanding of common had increased to the point he was becoming rather fluent in basic speech, without getting too complicated. His voice sounded like that of a hoarse six year old, but it was his voice none the less, and he hoped to at least gain some credit for learning most of another language in some short amount of time. Hoping Ferus would notice his words~

Perhaps [member="Iziz Vei"] was correct about Ferus and his views on the code. Long ago, within the New Order, Ferus was notorious for removing the limbs and organs of students who failed him, often while they were awake and squirming. He was a hard man then, terrifying his students.

But now, he had chosen a different route. Having trained so many, he had learned that a relaxed approach often worked the best. Of course, there were times he chose differently, sometimes trying to kill an apprentice simply to teach them a new lesson. For now though, he kept his eyes on the Jawa, a frown forming as he spoke in basic.

"I do speak Jawa you know, you don't have to speak common." Grant it, Ferus understood why he had learned it. Most of the Assassins didn't know Jawanese, but here he could relax. If he wished. But he went on to answer the question, a grin now forming on his face. "Both are a yes. It's similar to the force speed you yourself use, only your applying something like a push to a weapon. This involves a lot of concentration however, and the more you concentrate the more power you can put into the object. Understand?"

Iziz cocked his head to the side, nodding in affirmation to the Darths requests, as he allowed his hands to trace down on what he was sitting on, pushing off with both hands and vaulting off his raised seat to the ground he made the last of his way over to ferus and looked up under the brim of his hat, interlacing his fingers he cracked his small knuckles and tried to envision what a force push would do when flown down a weapon... it was not something he could picture, how would it work? What would it do? Iziz thought about it for a moment then decided to open his mouth and voice his thoughts.

"I'm practising... so... What would a force push do when channeled down the length of a weapon? I don't understand... what am I focusing on? I'll be honest, I tend to use a lot of imaging techniques when I learn, so, if you could help direct my focus, that would be helpful."

Iziz uncoiled his tail and bought it around to his front, it was the part of him he was learning about the most, he had an in depth knowledge of this tail as well as his weapons. He knew every facet of it, every inch and every cranny was like it was a part of his own body now. So, it was a clear choice for something to imbue with the power of the force, though, Ferus did not really answer his other questions...

"So, could it be used through something like this or a light saber? Or would I need a normal sword?"

He re-iterated. curiously.

"You can channel it through anything, as I had said prior." Though, it seems [member="Iziz Vei"] wanted a demonstration on what he meant. Pulling free his saber, the Zabrak would light it with a quick push of a button a golden flash would fill the room. A push was what he had asked prior. So, with a visible aura, he would begin to channel such an ability into his blade. The Force was clear in both sense and sight as he brought the blade around and when he struck a nearby pillar, the force exploded outwards.

The pillar itself would crumble and blow outwards with the energy, and the Darth would turn to look at the Jawa.

"Make sense?"

Iziz cocked his head to the side, and looked to his tail. Holding it with each of his hands he focused on the power of the force, and attempted to replicate the same effect. The attempted to craft his own mental metaphor and talk himself through it, the force, many times was about perception, and removing those perceptions, like gravity, weight, form... they were illusions to be dispelled through the force, wielded by the chosen strong. Looking at the tail, the force slowly began to flow through the steel. Unfortunately, on his first try, Iziz only managed to use a small force push ON his tail, knocking it away from his hands, but, quickly the tail coiled back from the force and Iziz would try a second time, seeming that it was not as simple as applying the force to the weapon... He had seen the other students knighted... even though he knew he was more than capable of beating at least one of them in saber combat... though the Jawa didn't like the fact he seemed to be lagging behind, he was jealous...

His stray thoughts however, split Iziz's focus, and yet again, the force push simply blasted away his tail again, only to coil back into his hands as he would begin his third attempt...

'here... let me help you... You're trying to apply it to the weapon like it's a thing... it's not... the force connects us remember... you 'are' tail... your weapon... the floor, the roof... stop thinking of it as a thing, and more like an extension of yourself, surround it in the force as you would surround you, and make it the skill you wish.'

As the mysterious force hiding within Iziz spoke, something, only those keen to the subtle nuances of the force would pick up the infantasmally tiny whisper in the force, indiscernible, but the force signature which would radiate from it in similarly minuscule quantities, though it came from Iziz, would be distinct... tiny... But it would get results. Iziz would focus on his tail, feel like his mind was invading it, displacing himself for a moment, projecting his mind as if it traded places with the tail, surrounding itself in the force and igniting it into its nature as telekinesis... much like the weapon of Ferus...

Success

Iziz looked up, smiled at the weapon which was now holding a charge and looking around the training room for something to hit it with. Spying a pillar, Iziz jumped and span 980 degrees letting out a single swpie with his tail, the force of the telekinesis detonated with kinetic force, smashing a hole in the side of it.

"Like that Master Ferus?"

The Jawa beamed

There was a slight brow raised as Ferus felt something shift in the force within [member="Iziz Vei"] . To him, it felt familiar. Not what ever it was, but the fact that it had happened. He couldn't figure it out though. What it was similar to was his own dead master Darth Vulcanus. His spirit haunted both Ferus and his 'brother' , but for now the Zabrak couldn't pin point the feeling.

What ever it was though, it brought a smile to the Sith's face as the Jawa seemed to be able to do what was asked. Nodding once after the wall was blown through and Iziz asked him, he would respond with a wide grin plastered on his face.

"Indeed. Out of the three, you are by far the one to learn the fastest. Try this ability on other weapons and the like, and keep working at it. I'm sure you'll have a greater understanding of this in no time." Iziz as ever had proven himself the most adept of the three, but his lack of training was clear. This would be changed rather quickly though.
