SPECIAL FEATURES
- Electrical Stream. Unlike blaster technology, the A-Droid Shock Arm emits an electrical current which can be sustained for up to fifteen seconds. The longer a foe's exposure to the shock, the more damage it can produce.
- Duel Purpose. The A-Droid Shock Arm can act as both a prehensile arm for a droid, and a weapon. It's shock functions can only be activated while the hand of the arm is wielding no objects.
- Droid Fatigue. Use of the A-Droid Shock Arm drains power directly from the droid's main power supply, rather than having it's own power cells. Excessive use of this weapon can cause the droid to shut down from power consumption.
- Overheating. If the electrical stream emitted by this weapon lasts longer than ten seconds, there is a high chance of the arm overheating. If the arm overheats, it loses functionality for two posts.
The Advanced Droid Shock Arm, or A-Droid Shock Arm, was a modification created by Baktoid Industries for security and law enforcement droids. The technology was a short run, with only a a few batches of arms distributed across the galaxy. As such, these arms can usually be found available from resellers, rather than the original manufacturers.
The A-Droid Shock Arm was a modification designed to replace an existing arm on a security droid. Instead of having it's own power cell, the arm would be directly powered by the droid's energy cell/power source. Instead of reloading, the device requires a full minute to cool down after the first 15 seconds have been used. Since the device is directly drawing power from the droid, the being will find themselves being fatigued if it is over used.
Upon activation, via mental link between the droid and it's hand, a small bolt of electrical energy will be released from each finger tip (Not unlike the appearance of force lightning). These individual bolts of lightning will move in a forward arc, dissipating after 10 meters. Targets who find themselves hit by the attack will be electrocuted, and likely in pain. Excessive exposure is capable of rendering even the strongest of wills unconscious.
