STRENGTHS
  • A STRONG OFFENSE IS A GOOD DEFENSE: She's got some guns on her, but the Aegis' strength is in her defensive systems and ability to draw fire, getting "deep into the mix". She sports a reinforced hull covered in a thick carapace of armor plating and further protected by extensive shielding, making them fairly durable on the battlefield.
WEAKNESSES
  • TURNS ON A D... NO WAIT THAT'S NOT RIGHT: When your primary design is to draw fire and keep drawing it on you, you have to give up speed and maneuverability. Her priorities are in passive defense in the form of heavy armor plating and redundant shielding over agility, making it capable of being outmaneuvered.
DESCRIPTION
The Aegis is not a "shield ship", she is a "tank" in many respects. This frigate is designed to move forward in engagements and go against ships of both the same size and even larger designs and hold their attention (and targeting systems) long enough for allied weapons to fire. The ships will always take damage, the crews know this, but their advanced shielding, armor plating and defensive systems make them hard to kill. A perfect scenario is an Aegis moving in to face an enemy group and by the time it must withdraw, allied ships are firing on the enemies unimpeded.
