DESCRIPTION

The Aegis-Type Mk II Purge Trooper Armor represents the pinnacle of the Risen Empire's efforts to combat Force users through superior technology and brute force. Developed as a direct successor to the Aegis Mk I, the Mk II incorporates extensive feedback from field encounters with Jedi and Sith, focusing not only on physical protection but also cognitive disruption.

Its defining feature, the Hemostatic Neural Disruptor Array (HNDA-Mk I), allows the armor to impair a Force-sensitive opponent's ability to focus and channel the Force effectively. Rather than nullifying the Force outright—an almost impossible feat—the system interferes with the user, causing mental disorientation, headaches, and interference in concentration-intensive techniques.

Power-assisted movement compensates for the suit's mass, allowing them to withstand or overpower Force-enhanced adversaries. Tactical hardpoints and an upgraded sensor suite ensure the Mk II can be tailored to various combat environments, from deep-space operations to fortress breaches.

Though powerful, the Mk II remains imperfect. Its electronic systems can be neutralized with ion weaponry, and the disruptor field does not work beyond close range. Its sheer weight and volume also limit stealth and high-speed mobility, making it best suited for coordinated strike teams and direct action roles.

In the hands of a trained Purge Trooper, however, the Aegis Mk II is more than just armor—it is a weapon in itself, forged for one purpose: to end Force users.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Hemostatic Neural Disruptor Array (HNDA-Mk I): Emits neurosonic and EM pulses that disrupt the cognitive focus of Force users, impairing their ability to use abilities like telekinesis, precognition, or mind tricks.
  • Cortosis-Weave Gauntlets: Can short-circuit lightsabers briefly on physical contact.
  • Helmet System Suite: Includes target tagging, low-light vision, HUD integration, encrypted comms.
  • Power-Assisted Frame: Enhances physical strength and load-bearing capacity for close-quarters confrontations.
  • Environmental Sealing: Basic protection in vacuum and toxic environments.
  • Mounting Hardpoints: Compatible with various Risen-issued support devices (e.g., flamethrowers, breaching tools, backpacks).
STRENGTHS
  • Lightsaber Defense: Armor plating is reinforced against lightsaber strikes, and cortosis gauntlets offer offensive counters in melee.
  • Enhanced Strength: Power-assisted exoskeleton allows troopers to engage Force users in melee, lift heavy loads, or break through obstacles.
  • Close-Quarters Dominance: The armor is tailored for close, confined environments like ship corridors or urban structures—where Force users have less room to maneuver.
  • Anti-Force Utility: The integrated HNDA-Mk I system disrupts Force-user concentration in close-range engagements (~5–8 meters), making it difficult to focus and coordinate advanced powers.
WEAKNESSES
  • No Force Disruption Systems: Lacks any technology to resist or counter Force powers such as telekinesis, precognition, or mind tricks.
  • Vulnerable Joints: Articulated areas (underarms, behind knees) remain weak spots against lightsaber thrusts or precise strikes.
  • Bulky & Loud: The armor is heavy and not suited for stealth. Movement generates audible noise, and reduced agility is a problem in open terrain.
