AELA KEERSU

BACKGROUND

Growing up in a normal, middle-lower class house in Coronet City, Aela was fairly content. Dinner conversations, however, did involve her father's frustrations with Alliance bureaucracy and nepotism and how, as a combat pilot, it can limit his movements to actually help people in need. When ordered to bomb or strafe, you don't ask questions, you do.

At first, Aela didn't understand. To her, life was normal, school was standard and a military life seemed like an heroic one. It was only when she had graduated from the Academy and had entered the Alliance Defence Force, did she realise what he meant...

But she stuck it out, trying to make a difference in the Galaxy as one of the "good guys". It worked - for the most part. The frustrations with either inaction or partiality for bureaucratic ulterior motives were there, but she gritted her teeth and did her duty.

But when events on Hapes escalated, where nothing was black and white but decidedly grey, she'd had enough. She had stood where a refugee caravan had been ambushed as they were believed to be Crimson Veil. The rain didn't douse the fire of the transport nor did it wash away the blood off the dead child still holding his mother's hand. In her other bone-white and cold hand, had been a pamphlet.

Aela, through her tears, had taken it and it had irrevocably changed her life...​

PERSONALITY

Aela is usually a mild-tempered woman with great compassion and a will to bring peace and healing to a broken Galaxy. She is fiercely loyal, but has a wit and humour on her that can alleviate a lot of situations.

She doesn't anger easily, but when she does, it's best to get out of her way. She is greatly caring and would destroy some hoops if it will keep people safe and keep hope alive. She's quite strong-willed and a natural rebel. ​

STRENGTHS
​

+Good pilot - While mostly being a ground operative, Aela can also fly pretty well.
+Resourceful Soldier - As a soldier ever since graduating high school, Aela knows her way around a battlefield and how to avoid some things. The rest, she learned from her father. Whether it's open combat, covert or guerrilla, doesn't matter. She can hold her own.
+Calm - As a calm, level-headed person, Aela does not anger quickly and can keep her head in tough situations
+Good shot - Aela knows her way around a blaster - rifle or otherwise - and usually shoots at what she aims.
+Freedom Fighter - She fights for the people, not for politics.

WEAKNESSES

-Ruthless - Though she does not anger easily, Aela can be cold and emotionless when she gets pushed to the edge. This allows for heartless fighting and piloting
-Not Han Solo - Though she's a rather decent pilot, she's no Ace. She can definitely be outflown by dedicated pilots.
-Bad liar - Even though Aela is a rebel, she is a terrible liar. She has easy tells.
-Slicing - Aela may know here way around the brain of a ship, but any slicing out in the world she's a rookie in
-Small - She has quite a small build at 5"4, so she can be overpowered by greater and stronger opponents.
