Her signature identifiers are a pair of custom night-vision goggles as well as a red bandana she can wear as a hat, hair band or facemask.
Her dress sense consists of comfortable, form fitting and multi-layered pieces with as many pockets as possible, an old Kama, a tool belt, sturdy, waterproof boots and various other gadgets - all strategically worn.
When out and about she often wears (or at least brings) her akivan poncho - with even more pockets, respectively…
By default, she is loosely accompanied by Gabby, a small, mildly kleptomaniac Droid of unknown type whom she will often endearingly call ‘space princess’.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
No matter the outside circumstances, Elsie always aspires to be her best self; that being cheerful, bubbly, soft spoken and empathetic.
She is happiest if she can make herself useful to her peers and has a distinct niche to fit in.
With her assignments of choice, this means fixing the randomised life-threatening leak, breach, malfunction or battle damage of the day and/or finding useful gear of all sorts among the worlds visited.
She has an easy time making contact and befriending people, and due to her friendly, non-judgemental nature she is a well-liked companion to most.
Despite her parents attempts to raise her as a blank sheet survivalist, she picked up a lot of their quirks, such as their ability to outlive the nastiest circumstances, their strong egalitarianism, their deeply rooted love for nature as well as their fondness of storytelling.
She further does have the odd 'talent' to attract and befriend unusual Droids [Such as the Silentium scout ‘Gabby’, or the rebuilt B1 ‘Chrome’] and - even more so because of her profession - many will jokingly state that Elsie is better with machines than with people.
STRENGTHS
─── It is very difficult to not get along with her, and she makes friends with relative ease, instinctively giving in to everyone's needs and wants without feeling at a disadvantage.
─── She loves what she does and what she does she is good at, in Elsies case, this means fixing things, and fixing her peers.
WEAKNESSES
─── Often scatter-brained, forgetful and easily confused and/or distracted by outside stimuli. She claims herself to not work well under pressure, and - to an extent - she is quite correct with this.
─── Her cheerful, innocent optimism tends to land her in hot water on occasion, especially when she proclaims her beloved ‘finders keepers!’ mantra to whoever’s downed ship or speeder she may have just looted….
HISTORY
Elsie’s story began on the Planet of Akiva as the child of Arrhae Vhenn and Ajrin Eldritch, two refugees/settlers who had carved out a business for themself in Myrra’s worker district.
Leading a simple life, Elsie’s family for the most part kept to themself, trying to fly under everyone’s radar, especially that of their neighbouring political parties and syndicates of each new season.
The child was strongly encouraged (yet not expected) to one day take over her parent’s clinic, yet already at an early age Elsie showed more of a tendency for scavenging and repairing tech than repairing people.
Her upbringing was however strict; preparing her for survival as well as educating her about the dangers out there - none more than ‘the system’ spreading its grip over the Mid and soon Outer Rim…
She was taught to speak fluent-, as flawless as possible Basic and Huttese, received many a lesson in handling herself with and without a blaster or melee weaponry, and her parents made sure that - despite living on a fix planet - Elsie would know her star maps well enough to not get lost.
Despite her relatively rigid daily schedule though, she would never pass out on even the smallest chance to roam wild and free; taking every available moment to explore the Akivan jungles on her speeder, and collect unusual salvage to study and fix up once back home.
When Elsie was 13, the past however caught up with her family as her Mother was caught in the crossfire of a syndicate street fight while attempting to protect an uninvolved citizen.
Her death hit the family hard, and both Elsie and her father turned more introverted as a result; unintentionally isolating themself from one another, with her father burying himself in work, and Elsie more than ever being out in the jungles, exploring and coming to terms with her own desired role and subsequent identity.
It was around this time she befriended a hitch-hiking stowaway Droid named Gabby who had made their way to Myrra’s spaceport, much to the disapproval of her father who felt that Gabby had a bad influence on Elsie; flooding his child’s mind with distracting tales of grand adventures and places to see far far away…
At the age of 16 Elsie had finalised her decision: She wanted to work with ships, and the nearby spaceport would provide her with ample work and learning opportunities.
Hesitantly but in the interest of his daughter pursuing the fate she saw for herself, he eventually gave his blessing to her decision, and for the following years, Elsie began to study and work every free minute.
Doing what she loved though, it never felt like a burden to her, and together with Gabby, both of them mused about maybe one day flying their own ship and exploring yet unsurveyed corners of the galaxy…
