Intent: To create a modular blaster pistol for [member="Aerin The Lost"]
Development Thread: If Necessary
Manufacturer: Rusty's Custom Firearms and Cutlery
Model: N/A
Affiliation: [member="Aerin The Lost"]
Modularity: Nearly every part of the blaster can be swapped out. Most of the changes are cosmetic, but a few are functional.
Production: Unique
Material: Durasteel, plastoid, blaster components
Classification: Blaster
Size: Handheld
Length: 10-20 CM
Weight: 400-600 grams
Ammunition Type: Power cell, gas canister
Ammunition Capacity: 30-60 shots, depending on configuration
Effective Range: Personal
Rate of Fire: Semi
Special Features: Highly modular. At its smallest, slightly larger than a holdout blaster. At its largest, about the size of a full sized blaster pistol. Can be fitted with high output power cell, slightly longer barrel that doesn't actually do much to the beam but stabilizes the weapon and makes it easier to aim and fire rapidly, plastoid body panels can be swapped out to change the color, so on and so forth.
Strengths:
- Highly adaptable. By changing out things like the power cell, or the barrel length, the customer can configure the pistol for nearly any mission.
- Decent stopping power. Can potentially put down a fully grown, unarmored man with a single shot.
- Jack of all trades, master of none. Though it can be configured for nearly any role, it will not perform as well in that role as a purpose built weapon.
- Limited armor penetration. Can do light cloth armor fairly well, but isn't designed to take on military grade armor.
Nearly every part of the weapon can be swapped out, depending on what the situation calls for. An extended capacity power pack will let it fire more shots between reloads. A longer barrel will give it better balance, making it more controllable. It can be fitted with a laser sight, which makes shooting from the hip more practical. The body panels can also be swapped out, allowing the customer to color coordinate. Every modification will affect weight and balance, which is something the customer must consider beforehand.
