Moonage Daydream
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Aero-99 is designed to be the younger sibling of Starchaser Enterprises’ Starburst Courier, and BluShift Performance Yacht. A racing starfighter heavily inspired by both the Jedi Starfighter Delta and Eta lines, as well as the TIE Interceptors, and A-Wing starfighters in equipment, and physical design. A droid co-pilot is an option on this ship, while others may opt to have an on-board droid brain, however this does have some drawbacks when it comes to updating the software.
Designed around two modified Event Horizon engines, the Aero-99 is light weight and depends on its shields and engines to get through races unscathed. A pair of light rapid fire blaster cannons provide some form of distraction to other pilots, enough to make them change course, but not enough to particularly break shields.
The navigation system is a work of art, however. Designed around the typical ‘advanced’ Starchaser hyperspace navigation system, the Aero-99 comes with a specific firmware update to link the droids into the advanced system which takes into account a 360 degree view of the starship at multiple increments to see around incoming obstacles and plot a course around them. This is more useful for larger starships, asteroid hazards, and other forms of debris, NOT other racers.
The Aero-99’s cockpit is designed to be comfortable if utilitarian with many analog gauges and controls to put more power into the engines. While a small cockpit, expenses were not spared to make sure the pilot’s seat was private market level, rather than military grade.

- Lightning Quick in the Straights - The Aero-99 is a ship designed for speed, and it makes the most use of its speed when given the room to run
- Shields over Weapons - The Aero-99 is designed to stay alive in the competitive, and sometimes cutthroat market of starfighter racing, and the shields systems will keep most other fighter-racers at bay
- Two Steps Ahead - The advanced navigation systems, compliments of Starchaser Enterprises’ storied past, allows the pilot and droid to be two steps ahead in races and knowledgeable about what is to come on the course, at least.
- A lot of Drift - The Aero-99 focuses its build on speed, and while it does have maneuvering capabilities akin to a military interceptor, it will lose speed in the corners
- Skill Required - The Aero-99 is a starfighter racer, but unlike many, doesn’t make use of the strongest weapons to slow competitors and requires on the skill of the pilot.
- Can’t Predict the Pilots - While the advanced navigation systems provide great course prediction, there is no real fix to the chaos of other pilots.
