The second event expansion ever introduced by Galactic Illusionary Gaming, the first being one created to commemorate the tragedy of Csilla being destroyed by the Brotherhood of the Maw, this one is focused on an event that happened nearly sixty years ago. On this day, Taungsday, in 844 ABY, half of the galactic population was suddenly drawn into the Netherworld of the Force by the actions of the Kwa Akala. Many did not return and those that did were forever changed by the events of those frightful days and weeks where it seemed the dead would conquer the living.
This set, consisting of 90 cards, was designed to show some of the heroes and villains active during this event along with some of the galactic factions that controlled portions of the galaxy when the Akala Crisis occurred. The design team used the set to create two new mechanics, one called Escape that is exclusive to this set for now as it involves paying a cost to bring stuff back from your Netherworld, while the other is called Amass and will see further development in future sets.
OOC Note: This card set and submission are meant to commemorate the Netherworld board event that started on March 1st, 2015, exactly ten years ago to the day. For anyone interested in reading the event threads, I will have those tagged in the primary sources field of this submission. I will not including all of the dominions that happened during it because digging through the archives would have taken me twice as long as it did to make this set.
