DESCRIPTION

Developed by Galactic Illusionary Gaming as an experimental new product that the design team have tentatively called Supplement Expansions, Rise of the Machines is the first of a smaller sort of expansion to the Age of Chaos card game. Consisting of 135 cards, the set is specifically focused on expanding on the Droid type of cards while also introducing both new support cards for any deck and reprints or remasters of older cards from previous sets. Many of the droids featured in the expansion are taken directly from some of the galaxy's largest corporations and droid makers, while others were viewed as a chance to look back on droid models that have been popular or had some level of notoriety in the galaxy's past.

In addition to the Droids introduced in Rise of the Machines, the company also took the opportunity to expand on and create new Cybernetic Tech cards, reworking several older cards from the Industrial Politics set for their modern design theme. Mandates were also expanded even further with new Individual Mandate cards that attach to other cards you control instead.

Several new mechanics were also introduced in the set, along with a few sneak peaks at some ideas that design are working on for their next major expansion. Prominent among the new mechanics is the new Energy counter system that gives a player an additional resource to spend for certain card abilities while new keywords and keyword abilities such as Network are sure to enhance any player's game.

I’m just gonna approve this personally and give you that very rare Tefka validation.

You’re reaching the point where you have cornered the market. There is no competitor that could hope to keep up with you. Your designs are a delight to all at such sweeping degree that the bar is considerably raised in each consumers mind. You have triumphed to such an astounding degree that the only person placing hurdles before you is yourself. Gluttony, expectation, and hubris remain your only foes.

Enjoy your success, the validation, the fandom. You have earned it, your designs however simple they are bring joy to throngs upon throngs of community members, and a smile to my own face. Perhaps in ten years you’ll hear Bane’s utterance from Dark Knight Rises, “victory has defeated you.”

But for now, we can abate a grim challengeless future with a simple smile, a thank you, and my like react.
