- With a rapid application of variable firepower in mind, the Agrias has an outsized amount of firepower and is equipped with many of the latest weaponry systems designed by Aurora Industries. Multiple heavy turbolaser batteries, turbolaser and mass driver turrets, and plenty of defensive weapon systems give the Agrias a massive punch when it engages an enemy.
- As an improvement over its predecessor, the Aureal-class, the Agrias has been designed with a small single squadron hangar bay to give it better combat capabilities.
- While a slightly older system, the Agrias is equipped with a Maelstrom Advanced Targeting and Tracking System to give it heightened efficiency when analyzing enemy attack patterns and targeting for the ship's gunners.
- Equipped with four Aurora Crest Drive engines, the Agrias has an incredibly high speed that allows it to close on targets and reach its destinations rapidly.
- Due to its design, and while a slight improvement over its predecessor, the Agrias has only minimal layers of defense against enemy fire. It is best used for explosive hit-and-run tactics, not a brawl out with even other ships of its class.
- Utilizing the versatility of its weapon systems can result in a few issues with examples being overheating with the Leamondes and Salamands and ammunition concerns with the Gnoma Mass Drivers when switching between their firing modes too quickly.
- The crystal matrix that acts as the heart of the Maelstrom system, if damaged, will immediately kill the system and it will be unusable until a new one is installed.
The fourth warship designed for Aurora Industries' Phase III Modernization Program; the Agrias-class Rapid Frigate was designed as a replacement for the aging Aureal-class Fast Frigates as a fast and powerful rapid response assault frigate. While retaining the same hull shape and design, the Agrias has a slightly smaller profile at 400 meters, but the ship more than makes up for it with its new systems. The engineers in charge of her creation massively increased the number of weapon systems on the ship, utilizing the newest Aurora Industries weapons. Full turbolaser batteries were installed, along with turbolaser and mass driver turrets, and plenty of defensive flak guns, point defense lasers, and quad laser cannons.
The old Gravastar+ reactor was swapped out for the much-improved Aetharstar, scaled to the size for a frigate, and a Maelstrom targeting system was installed to better assist the gunnery crews in tracking and targeting enemy forces. The standard, if not enhanced, engines of the Aureal were replaced with four Aurora Crest Drive engines to give the ship even greater speeds in comparison. The ship, however, is still only moderately improved in its defensive armoring and shielding, but with the philosophy in mind behind the vessel, it was deemed acceptable by management.
