Standing at average height for a human, the form Ahtemis chooses to assume most of the time is that of an average-looking human woman with a slender figure, dark hair and deep black eyes. Her skin is pale white, an echo of the moon-coloured fur of her natural state. Neither especially beautiful, nor hideously ugly, the Gurlanin prefers a form that allows her to blend into a crowd unnoticed.
This is far from her only form, however. A natural shapeshifter, her natural state is that of a lithe, athletic wolf. Unlike the rest of her species, a genetic anomaly caused Ahtemis to have white fur. Perhaps this trait, that causes her to stand out among her kin, is what drives her to want to blend in when shifted. With deep, piercing eyes, elongated, lean ears, and a large tail, her natural form is arguably the more beautiful of the two she commonly uses.
+ Force adept: She may appear to be in her twenties, but Ahtemis has spent more than an entire human life wandering the galaxy, learning to practice and master her use of the force. Particularly, the she-wolf has become an adept in a few abilities:
- Force Healing (Adept)
- Force Barrier (Expert)
- Telekinesis (Adept)
- Force Pursuade (Expert)
+ Silent as the Night: One documented capability of the Gurlanin is their uncanny ability to disappear completely from the senses. Becoming invisible to the eye, silent to the ear, leaving no thermal trace and even hiding their force signature, the species to which Ahtemis belongs are truly master hunters with this ability, able to effectively vanish to every sense
- Albino: Perhaps lacking the red eyes of a true albino, Ahtemis’s natural form does have the white fur of one, an incredibly stark contrast to the black that is natural for her species. As a result, in any situation where the Gurlanin is in her natural state, she would be easily recognisable from others of her kind
- Partially deaf: From birth, Ahtemis has been deaf in one ear. Even though her hearing in her other ear is adequate enough that she can maintain a conversation, she’s effectively oblivious to many sounds from her left side, leaving it exposed and vulnerable, particularly if she’s uaware
- Bare-foot: A true wolf, Ahtemis has always preferred to feel the wind in her fur and grass beneath her paws. Although she is civilised enough to wear clothing in public, it’s often flowing and loose. She’s never worn armour, and wouldn’t feel comfortable in such, let alone move with any agility or speed
- Specialist: Ahtemis has one weapon in which she’s trained, augmented by the few force powers she’s learned. Robbed of these, she would not be as effective in combat, unable to take advantage of things like blasters and other weapons
- Master of None: While advantageous for sure, shapeshifting comes at a cost. Ahtemis’s natural form is the four-legged wolf; everything else she’s had to learn. While things like flying and swimming have eventually been mastered, more complicated use of other forms, such as fighting or dancing, don’t come naturally. This is evident in her imperfect technique and occasionally clumsiness
