With the galaxy descending further and further into conflict, the engineers at Aurora Industries decided to revisit their standard blaster system, the AI-321m, and improve upon it. Given the greenlight by Taeli, the weapon engineers at Aurora began work on the AI-331m Heavy Weapon System, otherwise known as the NovaStreak.
The concept for the weapon remained the same, drawing inspiration and design from its predecessor and the far older model of weapon, the DC-17m. Unlike the AI-321m, the AI-331m has had its components streamlined for increased efficiency from the Sianium power cell. The weapon is able to fire more shots before the gas canister is depleted, while still retaining the increased stopping power. Gone is the disruptor module from the 321m, but the engineers decided to develop an anti-armor grenade module to take its place.
