- Like the previous two iterations of in the Streak series of weapons, and the continuing theme of versatility for Aurora Industries' weapons, the new GammaStreak is able to utilize modules to change into different firing modes:
- Standard Configuration - The AI-341m without any modules installed, this configuration acts like an enhanced blaster rifle due to the Sianarc Power Pack granting additional strength and energy to the blaster bolts generated by the weapon. While in this setting, the wielder can fire single shots, in bursts, or in full automatic. This setting also enables a control on the grip of the weapon, or a connected HUD or ocular cybernetic, that allows the wielder to overclock the power pack so when the weapon fires, it creates a plasma projectile in a similar manner to a down-scaled Salamand Turbolaser.
- Disruptor Configuration - Installed on the front of the weapon, the Disruptor module for the AI-341m draws more of the Sianteria gas through the Heter Valve of the weapon, but when the bolt is being energized, it goes through an additional process when it passes through the module that alters the particle composition of the weapon, creating an unstable energy wave contained within a bolt that disrupts the molecular bonds of whatever it impacts against, causing them to break apart and disintegrate. While in this setting, the wielder can fire in single shots and in bursts of three shots.
- Ion Configuration - Installed into the section of the weapon where the Xciter and Actuating Blaster Module is located, the Ion module essentially places a modified ion regulator that, when it draws in the Sianteria gas, energizes it into a powerful negatively charged bolt of plasma that splatters on impact to place greater stress on shields and electrical systems of whatever it impacts against. While in this setting, the wielder can fire single shots, in bursts, or in full automatic.
- Anti-Armor Configuration - Installed into the hardpoint for grenade launchers and the front of the weapon, the Anti-Armor module essentially makes the AI-341m into an infantry scale energy torpedo launcher. The module captures the Sianteria gas, energizing it into a volatile plasma before wrapping it into a magnetic field before launching it as a torpedo at high speeds, roughly 10% the speed of light, in a straight line towards whatever target is in sights. The torpedo, when it impacts, explodes with massive force, easily piercing through armor and shielding to destroy armored vehicles and fortified positions. While in this setting, the wielder can only fire in single shots.
- Sniper Configuration - Installed on the front of the weapon, the Sniper module for the AI-341m extends the barrel of the weapon by a significant amount and also three additional prismatic crystals in the path of the plasma bolt to further enhance and strengthen it. A shield disruptor is also included in the module to allow the plasma bolt that is fired from the weapon to pass through shields. The range of the weapon is greatly increased and the bolt of plasma it fires can penetrate light cover and erupts when it impacts against a target, directing the majority of the plasma bolt's energy to burn through a target and creating potential splash damage in a small radius around the target. While in this setting, the wielder can fire single shots and in bursts. In addition, when this module is installed, a Thorilide shock absorber in the stock activates to reduce any recoil.
- Utilizing the same types of nanites found in the Medhir Armor MK II or the AI-800 "Aureal" Bow, the AI-341m has a small reservoir of nanites that can be used to form a bayonet on the front of the weapon. The nanites are activated and deactivated through a concealed button on the grip, where a half press activates and deactivates, and a full press activates a monomolecular energy chord on the blade.
- Like all Aurora Industries' weapons, the AI-341m "GammaStreak" has a great deal of versatility for its wielder, allowing them to deal with multiple situations on the battlefield with a high degree of stopping power in various formats through the use of its various installable modules.
- Due to the Sianteria and Sianarc Power Pack used in the weapon, along with a greater efficiency in components, the weapon's projectiles have an increased stopping power and can coax out more bolts than even the older Sianium Power Cell used in the previous iteration of the weapon.
- If the power pack and gas canisters are depleted, and the wielder doesn't have time to reload before the enemy is upon them, the AI-341m has a nanite bayonet that can be formed for close quarters combat.
- Modules can take some time to swap out, taking several long seconds especially when the wielder is in the middle of a firefight on the battlefield.
- While the Anti-Armor module is installed, it is highly recommended to brace the weapon against a surface due to the weight and potential recoil from the weapon firing its energy torpedoes. The Anti-Armor module also drastically reduces the amount of gas available and quickly depletes the power pack, requiring the wielder to swap them out much more frequently.
- Ion and EMP weaponry can short out the nanite bayonet, preventing it from being used until the weapon is brought back online, and can also disable the modules if they are in used.
The next iteration in Aurora Industries' Streak weapon systems, the new AI-341m "GammaStreak" builds upon the legacy of the first two weapons in the series. The old Sianium power cells were swapped out for the new Sianarc Power Packs and Sianteria gas canisters to make sure the weapon had enough power, even when in just its standard configuration. Customizable hardpoints were added in to allow the user of the weapon to add on whatever scope they preferred and even an under barrel grenade launcher or other implement that uses a similar attachment. In addition, the weapon has been included with the same type of nanites found in the Medhir armors to give the user an easily deployable bayonet for when in close quarters combat.
The crux of the design, however, is the module system the weapon uses to change its firing modes. Drawing on the company directive of versatility, and improving on the previous weapon, the new modules are incredibly powerful. Four modules are included with purchase to allow a person, or a squad, equipped with the weapon to have a variety of roles with the Disruptor, Ion, Anti-Armor, and Sniper modules.
