SPECIAL FEATURES
When militaries rely on sensors to target, electronic warfare is a necessity in warfare. AIL decided to make its own in-house ECM suite that can be used for ground units. Naval technology uses a lot of sensor technology, however, the scale at which they are produced is larger and can be integrated into ground assault craft and usually, a lot of space must be reserved to include all the technology provided by the overseer suite. With the standardization of the GA's military, AIL wanted to make sure the army had an easy access ECM suite that could be used across all their light and medium assault craft. At least those whose purpose would be electrical warfare. As massive armies border the GA, disrupting their logistics is a key component of getting the edge over the enemy. It gives the GA a chance to hit first and hard while the enemy are still trying to get their holocommuicators to work.
- Identify Friend/Foe Transponder - An IFF is wired into the Overseer to categorize enemy and allied transmissions. That ensures that it only affects enemy signatures and not friendly ones.
- Eradicator - The Overseer suite includes an Eradicator communications scrambler. It allows the Overseer to protect friendly transmissions from interception when in use. It also protects the suite's internal systems from being hacked.
- Sensor jammer - With a sensor jammer, targeting computers can be disrupted so that enemy sensors can't achieve target locks.
- Missile deactivation - A missile deactivation transmitter is included in the suite which detects guiding frequencies of incoming missiles. The transmitter can only lock onto individual missile frequencies and deactivate one missile at a time.
- Signal Jammer - Short-range communication transmissions can be blocked thanks to the integrated signal jammer.
- All-In-One Suite - With seamless integration of multiple functions, the verseer provides users with easy access that can be switched on and off with the press of a button.
- Anti-slicing - To make sure the systems aren't compromised, the Overseer uses the eradicator as an anti-slicing countermeasure in its systems to make sure the it isn't used on friendly transmissions.
- Wait it's too strong - The overseer can't block all transmissions, especially if an enemy craft emits stronger transmissions that cannot be blocked by the Overseer. Usually, the craft that can't be hacked is much larger with a more sophisticated sensor array and/or communications system.
- EMP/Ion weakness - Despite all the fancy tech, an electromagnetic pulse could make the overseer unusable and would need to be replaced.
