+Book Smarts - Aimone has extensive knowledge of the Jedi Archives and their contents. His understanding of the Jedi lore is comprehensive after spending hours per day, for years, reading the Archives book by book. Even if Aimone cannot do a particular action, he knows the general concept and history of it.
+Night Vision - Aimone can see for up to 20 meters in the dark, all in glorious black and white.
+Claws and Paws - Aimone's Selonian claws give him a unique advantage in close quarters combat against fleshy opponents, should he ever be willing to use them.
-Read All About It - Aimone's practical knowledge is severely lacking. He has conceptual knowledge of many techniques and maneuvers, but has put in none of the practice or time to learn them for himself.
-Drawnnnn Out Words - Aimone's speech has a unique element due to the shape of his snout, some of his Basic enunciation is elongated and makes for some difficulty in understanding his speech.
APPEARANCE:
With the distinctive shape of an overgrown water rodent, Aimone is a fairly typical Selonian male. He reaches not quite a meter in height, at 185 centimeters he still hovers over the average Human. His eyees are an emerald green, and he has a pronounced snout on his face with small, transluscent whiskers protruding from the sides and chin. A creamy white patch of fur guards his softer regions, but the rest of him is covered in orange-ish brown fur. He typically dresses plainly, a simple modest covering of trousers and shirt, over which he wraps his Temple robes. Nothing about his appearance or dress is ornate or lavish, but matches the simple Jedi style and his own apathy towards the world beyond the Jedi Archives.
BIOGRAPHY:
A singular benefit of being born Force Sensitive in the Core Worlds was the speed at which a youngling like Aimone was identified by the Jedi. Aimone's world was the Jedi Temple on Coruscant for the majority of his young life, the cavernous halls his playground, the solemn classrooms his fortress, the meditation gardens his forest. Aimone was an imaginative kit, with elaborate fantasies reinforced by the lore available through the Jedi's library archives, where he spent much of his free time.
Aimone's attachment to the library grew into a stronger desire as he neared adolescence, becoming a place of refuge and solace for the Selonian kit. He was not very good at lightsaber combat, although he could perform the physical maneuvers his skills at anticipating and countering his opponent's moves were lacking. His progress in the classroom was rather average, excepting his history and cultural courses where Aimone's love of obscure facts and meticulous research came in handy. Many a night, the Head Librarian, Margo Celynne, would find Aimone asleep at a library terminal, and send him off to bed with a scolding, only to welcome him with a warm smile the next day.
So it was that an adolescent Aimone felt a sense of duty following the Sith attack on Coruscant, and pledged his aid with the Order's archivists and librarians in their recovery efforts. This was his library, after all, and the total loss of its treasures would be akin to someone ripping out his own vital organs. On Ossus, Aimone began to study directly under the Master Celynne, having none of the typical youngling's desire to roam the galaxy under the tutelage of a Jedi Master. Seemingly destined to walk in the footsteps of a librarian, the Council allowed Aimone the title of Padawan Learner as a student of Celynne.
On the verge of his fifth adult year, Aimone petitioned the Council to allow him to take the Knight trials. While he was constantly learning, he argued, there was not much more that the Jedi Librarian could teach him that he did not have to simply experience for himself. Every centimeter of the Jedi Archives was known to him, every book either holographic or in flimsiplast, every bust and decoration, every holocron and artifact. Yet the Jedi Council felt that Aimone had shirked his practical training, the experience and growth that Jedi encounter when they leave the safety of the Temple and venture into the galaxy. The strength of the bond between Padawan and Master under duress and in imminent, life-threatening danger. Before he could begin the Knight trials, the Council ordained, Aimone must complete his Jedi training.
This is how Aimone came to train with his current Jedi Master and finally ventured forth from the Jedi Archives into the galaxy at large.
EQUIPMENT:
Training Lightsaber
Datapad (always connected to the Jedi Archives)
LIGHTSABER FORM:
Aimone's main form is Shii-Cho, at which he is adept in solo technique but not against an opponent. He began practicing Form VI, Niman, in his later years as a Youngling and continued for some time while studying under Master Celynne's tutelage, but the time spent training has been less and less in recent years. This has left him with little more than an intermediate level of Niman knowledge in technique and form, and would be of little use against an actual opponent.
