The Aiwha-class Corvette is a heavy support corvette designed around her dual heavy long-ranged ion cannons. The mission profile of the vessel is to support small task forces with heavy-ion fire against larger capital vessels from outside the targets weapons range. The ship is built around two large extreme range weapons giving it an unusual profile. Supporting the vessel further is the dorsal mounted dual Turbolaser cannon turret giving it further capital grade weaponry for engaging ships at standard ranges. Defensively the Aiwha-class is equipped with four dual heavy laser turrets for engaging attack craft and projectile weaponry such as torpedoes and missiles. A pair of combination turrets are installed on the ventral hull, each houses a light defensive ion cannon and laser cannon for engaging projectiles and fast attack craft. A single canister launcher is installed for defensive countermeasures against projectiles and attack craft. A Tractor Pressor beam projector is installed on the lower prow of the vessel for use against incoming projectiles and attack craft.
A large sensor dome is installed on the vessel's forward dorsal hull which improves the vessel's ability to scan, target and track multiple objects. This allows the Intersector superior capability for tracking and engaging incoming projectiles and attack craft.
