Arrbi Betna
Marauder
Name: Akaan'ade Kyr'amude (Army Killers)
Intent: To create a Mandalorian Protectors NPC artillery unit to support Mandalorian units and PCs in the field with indirect fire from afar.
Affiliation: Mandalorian Protectors, Mandalorians
Availability: Uncommon
Type: Artillery Battery
Strength: 1 Batter = 6-8 guns plus crew, logistical, and command attachments (~100-200 personnel)
Description:
With the onset of massed warfare and large scale combat, the need for combat support rose. On Teta, Mandalorian troops had to rely on reinforcement troops and starfighters for assistance. The placement of dedicated artillery units is believed to have possibly routed the One Sith within the first few hours of the engagement. With this mindset, the weapons needed were produced and volunteers were trained to operate them.
The artillery units are, for now, the standard for the Mandalorian Protectors' armies. With no assigned designation, they took the name Akaan'ade Kyr'amude which means "Army Killers" in Mando'a. With the MH FAP-M1 artillery system and enough men and ammo to operate the guns effectively and efficiently, the units are quickly finding themselves a fast favorite with field commanders.
The units are organized into individual batteries of approximately six to eight MH FAP-M1 cannons with approximately one hundred to two hundred soldiers attached to each. The soldiers make up the crew, supply train, spotters, mechanics, and command echelon for the units. Each is a well trained Mandalorian Clansman or woman and carry both beskar'gam and their personal weapons, though some squad and support weapons are provided.
