Strengths:
Flying Dutchman: Many refits have made this once-slugging freighter into a fright in normal space.
Star Chaser: Not only are her real space engines souped up, but the hyperspace has also been upgraded.
Big Sacks of Land: Akira’s Star has an expansive cargo hold compared to other warships of similar size due to her original construction as a freighter.
Duct Tape and Bubblegum: The structural integrity of the Akira’s Star has been up to serious question after so many substantive changes.
Jar of Dirt: For a pirate ship, even a small one such as Akira’s Stars , she has lackluster weaponry and disappointing defenses, inside and out.
Broadsides, and Broadsides again!: The ship has the turning radius of a Star Destroyer without a space rudder. She isn’t meant for maneuvering or flanking or anything fancy like that.
But after a few years of trial and error, the Hydian Way Corsairs have made the Akira’s Star their reliable home. Besides serving as their warship, freighter, and courier, it has a healthy crew of around sixty bodies, as things have a tendency to fall apart at inopportune moments, and carriers another forty gunmen in the employment of Kerkov and his pirate gang. These crew quarters are rather cramped and smelly as most of the interior space of the vessel is left for the expansive cargo hold. Although not as large as it once was, or as large as other freighters of comparable size, no military corvette holds such a generous amount of cargo space. Of course, much of it has been reappropriated for weapons storage, engineering, and other important things. All in all, a pirate ship barely held together by unreliable welding, and questionable bolting, but a loved one at that.
