  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Sith Regenerator
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Internal Healing Implant
  • Size: Extremely Small
  • Weight: Extremely Light
  • Resistances (Optional): N/A
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sorcery and Technology: The implant can roughly be divided into two equal parts, the half that's made up from alchemized materials and Sith runes and the other half which is composed of typical cybernetic and healing components. Due to its nature it does require a short training in order for the implanted to be able to make proper use of the Aktides but said training is fairly simple and far easier to grasp than a Force Power which would have a similar effect.
  • Rapid Healing: By stimulating and aiding in blood movement and the creation of collagen, the implant allows for quick bursts of healing that not only seal wounds quickly but in some cases can even fully regenerate some body parts. Nothing bigger than a digit can be restored typically, but limbs that have been subjected to the healing implant are noticeably more intact than if they had been healed naturally and some tests with Force Users that are more knowledgeable of the Force's healing properties have even been able to restore entire hands.
STRENGTHS
  • Sorcery and Technology: The Aktides Implant is a sophisticated marriage of Sith Alchemy and cybernetic science, allowing it to function to some degree on multiple levels as it were. EMPs for example aren't much of an issue in regards to the implant functioning as its primary method of activation is reliant on the Force rather than sensors or computers which could be disabled by such an attack.
WEAKNESSES
  • Only the Blessed: While the implant isn't entirely powered by the Force, only the Force can activate it in any meaningful sense due to how its engineered. As such if the user has no access to the Force, either temporarily or permanently, then the implant can't function for the most part. This also means that the implanted, or someone nearby that can use the Force and is knowledgeable of the implant, must be conscious in order to make it work.
  • Burst Fire: Due to the implant being reliant on recyclers to keep the Bacta and other healing substances in supply, the implant is best used in short bursts as to not fully drain its stocks all in one go. If a wound is large enough to require the full dosages from the implant then it will take some time for the recyclers to restore the substances, making the implant nonfunctional as a result.
DESCRIPTION
Meaning "healing" in the Sith language, the Aktides was a long time dream of Darth Strosius. To grant those under his command the same, or at least a comparable, regenerative ability that he himself possesses. While he did know of Force Powers and abilities which could heal their users, he desired something simpler that Sith of any skill level under his command were capable of using. Something more subtle that would not require full focus or dedicated learning in order to master and make use of.

After the odd prototype and experiment over the years he would eventually manage a working model which could be put into wider scale production by the other Sith Sorcerers under his banner. The Aktides Implant is a relatively simple mechanism at first glance, merely a few bacta injectors and recyclers as well as some other substances which all are intended to enhance and stimulate regeneration at the cellular level. The casing and wiring however is where the sorcery comes into play, both of which are enhanced by Sith Alchemy with runes etched across the casing's surface.

To actually make the implant function, as it has no computer nor sensors to rely on, the implanted must use the Force to influence the mechanisms to begin functioning much like flipping a switch. This mechanical activation via the Force will also, as a byproduct, activate the alchemized parts of the implant as well which further enhance and hasten the healing process. Wounds can be closed within a matter of seconds depending on the size and even fingers or hands can be fully regenerated if one focuses enough and has some additional training with the Force's healing properties.
