HISTORY
Born on the backwards Outer Rim world of Tatooine, Alanys lived a poor life. Not so much as a slave but she knew what it was like to live in poverty. Her parents were simple small time crafters and traders. Sometimes they make good sales and were able to afford food. Other times, the family rationed or even went days hungry. But by chance or unfortunate luck, a local small time Hutt had moved in to takeover their town. The Hutt had begun to build his own powerbase here, and times got worse for the town including for Alany's family. Yet however Alanys was one of the lucky few children to win the lottery system the Hutt had placed in. The lottery system was a way of selecting lucky indviduals to have the chance to one day serve the Hutt and live a life of relative stability in his service. Children who won would be educated about anything their heart desires so as long as it benefited the Hutt.
Alanys was educated by people on the Hutt's payroll, which then soon saw her working for the Hutt as a lab assistant, specializing in illegal genetic research. Even though she was just a pre-teen at the time, she knew one day that she would fulfill this role for the Hutt. But for now she was allowed to pursue other interests in her free time, to which she took to learning about other worlds beyond Tatooine, ones that had massive bodies of water on it. Alanys dreamed of being in the ocean and living in a world filled with vibrant life.
Work for the Hutt continued until she was 18, when was approached by a corporation and offered to take a position in their new medical division. Her knowledge of genetics could be used to help make targetted treatments for people suffering from diseases. Being the naive young woman she was, she accepted the position. Her and her family was smuggled off world, to the research site located on Karkaris. The planet's large oceans only made Alanys squeal with excitement with this new position. Her parents were settled into a modest residence and Alanys went to work. Though she was kept in the dark about what was truly happening.
The corporation had been kidnapping people across the Outer Rim, the desperate, the poor, and those they deemed could be a threat to their work. Alanys had been the latter, the corporation seeing her as the beginnings of a rival, since she was serving the Hutt at the time. To nip this in the bud, Alanys wil be one of their subjects for their tests. One day at her office, Alanys kidnapped and put into a room filled with other people. Then the experiments began on all of them. Alanys was terrified but she endured it all, to try and see her parents at least one more time.
That day never came, Alanys instead seeing herself being changed and transformed into the hybrid she is today. The corporation needed obedient viable aquatic workers to be sent to F'tral to operate undersea mines that they were building, and to one day show off these workers various underworld buyers. A terrible fate if wind of their operation wasn't discovered by Jedi investigators, who were investigating disappearances across the Outer Rim. Alanys and the others were freed and taken into Galactic Alliance custody for safekeeping. They were all questioned about their experience, about which worlds they came from. The Galactic Alliance offered transport for those back to their homeworlds or to try and be resettled somewhere in Galactic Alliance space to try and land on their feet once more.
Alanys and others opted to choose the offer for the Galactic Alliance to resettle them, hoping that maybe her parents were still out there. Now Alanys works for the Galactic Alliance as a scientist, helping the galactic power establish new technologies to help bring peace to the galaxy.
