Description: The Alchemist-class remains relatively unchanged since its first creation. Designed as a counter electronic warfare ship, it hosts a suite of advanced communication relays, jammers, and ECCM suites. It is capable of long range communications and can even cut through single ship jamming attempts. In order to do so however, the Alchemist must cease all other external electronic operations while its signal boosting antenna deploys. This means the ship has two basic choices; jam the enemy communications or cut through jamming attempts. As a result, it's not uncommon to have Alchemist-class frigates operating in tandem with one another.

An unfortunate necessity due to the space required for the multitude of ECM and ECCM suites, the Alchemist has no hanger space beyond a few dropships to ferry crew within a fleet and must thus rely on other ships for combat support.
