A few points:
-Anyone can nominate a work of alchemy that was made by anyone on the board at any time.
-Nobody can nominate anything made by me or any of my alts. (Clarification: I've collaborated with a lot of people on their projects. If I helped make something, but someone else posted the sub and was at least an equal participant, that's allowable.)
-This is an OOC thing - because plenty of eligible characters wouldn't participate in an IC thing. That said, I'll be posting up an IC postmortem talking about reputation boost. (More secretive characters' writers can opt out.)
-This is open to everything from Sith alchemy to Nightsister crafting to Jal Shey stuff to Alkahest. Light Side, Dark Side, doesn't matter. Any kind of Force-related crafting, with or without tech involved, is fine. Heck, a really awesome Felucian bone sword could sweep the show.
-On Friday night or Saturday, kids permitting, I'm going to select the best few nominees and put them to a public vote. I'll select the finalists in consultation with others (current and ex Factory/Codex people, mainly). Wrangling a formal panel of judges is something that's been tried in everything from treasure hunts to tournaments, and thanks but no thanks. If someone yells bias, just look at the last short story contest I ran, where the winner was someone I'd never heard of and the runner-up was someone I'd locked horns with more than once in the past. Also, I reserve the right to add deserving nominees if they've been missed, though I doubt this will be a thing, as I'm just not super familiar with other people's work.
-Bragging rights? Sure. But first and foremost, this is a celebration of the cool crap people have made.
-When you nominate, use the template, and feel free to leave slots blank, or even just use the template to nominate one thing. All nominees must be approved Factory or Codex submissions, not RP'ers. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY, LINK TO ALL SUBMISSIONS.
