Alena smiled as she began her speech, putting her confident face on. From what it seemed, she was running against Senator Yusan, who had already made his speech.
"Greetings, honorable senators! and admirable citizens of the Republic! It is a great privilege to speak here infront of you today, and I shall make sure that I keep this speech as short and simple as possible. Time, especially in these troubled times, is precious after all."
"I take both much pride but at the same time disappointment in saying that I am the only senator to draft a legislation and have it passed in recent months. The Republic faces challenge ahead of it, and as I hopefully proven by the passage of my Secure and Stable Alliance Act as well as leading discussions in establishing policy towards the Empire, I am the one politician that has proven to do everything I can in my power to help the Galactic Republic."
