[SIZE=9pt]Personality: Alexander has been the ruler of the Azure Imperium for 30 years now, managing the delicate balance between the Imperial family, the Senate and the Church of light to keep the Imperium stable and developing as he prepared to approach the outside galaxy.according to the plan the Imperial family had been following for a millennia. A master level politician and tactician it takes a lot to ruffle Alexander’s feathers, he mostly appears infuriatingly calm to his opponents. In fact, most situations tend to be amusing to the man, as like a great chess player he is often thinking 10 or more steps ahead of his opponent, There can be an insufferable element to the man’s superiority, and a small air of smugness when his superiority is revealed. Never play chess with him unless you want to be the victim of his acerbic wit and smugness.[/SIZE]
COMBAT INFORMATION

[SIZE=9pt]Combat Function: In his youth, when he was the Crown Prince of the Imperium, Alexander was trained in combat by the Praetorian, the Imperial Bodyguard. Although older now, and no longer as strong or fast as he was in his youth Alexander is still a very capable combatant. However his age can be a detriment to the man in a fight, he is slower and weaker than a young opponent, and although he can buff himself through the force, a trained combatant on his level would be able to batter him down physically. His age, while a severe detriment, also tempers him with experience, as Alexander is forced to conserve his strength and stamina, acting defensively until his opponent slips or makes a mistake he can exploit. While a powerful combatant, one of the more powerful in the Azure Imperium, Alexander does not engage in combat regularly, and although he trains in both combat and in the use of his force powers, he prefers to take a step back and manage the strategy of a conflict. This lack of recent combat experience and training leads him to arrogance, the man often seeing things that are more complicated than reality. A small movement can lead him to expect a complicated manoeuvre, only to be caught out by a simple straight-forward action. In a pure force contest, Alexander's skills have also atrophied from his peak and while he remains a powerful force user, the range of abilities he can use in a fight is limited, allowing someone with a greater repertoire to outmanoeuvre and overwhelm him. HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[SIZE=9pt]The current emperor of the Azure Imperium, Alexander is the latest in a long line of rulers to sit in the throne of the Azure Imperium. The man had an uninspiring career as the Crown Prince of the Imperium, while trained and a capable combatant, Alexander never excelled in combat, taking a more passive role. Many of the members of the nobility and clergy had dismissed him as a non-entity, looking forward to a imperial rulership during which they could exert their influence, pulling more power into their hands. What they got was remarkably different.
The first sign that Alexander was upto something was when he announced his marriage to a daughter of the Daggerfall family, one of the noble houses at the centre of the political machinations. Suddenly the family saw another means to gain influence over the throne, one that offered them and them alone the power rather than sharing it with the other noble families. Faced with that option they didn’t have a second thought, abandoning the plans with the rest of the nobility to seize the opportunity. An opportunity Alexander was happy to give them, offering them scraps of influence while he continued to court his wife. He’d chosen her because in the woman he saw a kindred spirit, someone who was interested in doing the best for the Imperium, and had the skills to make the government dance to her will.
The time spent proved to be effective, and the pair proved to be unstoppable, with the plots of the nobility in check they turned their attention to the Church. With the Church and nobility in line Alexander began preparing his Imperium for their re-introduction into the wider galaxy. [/SIZE]
