Alexander "Alex" Vane is a muscular sort, from the rigorous exercise that comes with being a soldier in the Republic. He can quite often be seen in uniform, and looks to be about 6'3, with brown/blonde hair and blue eyes. He has a scar just above his right eye after getting slashed by a Sith's lightsaber, though managed to survive the encounter.
BIOGRAPHY:
Alex's father, Garret Vane, was a proud Republic soldier throughout his life, and Alex idolized him for the Republic hero and veteran he was. During his childhood, military posters and soldier action figures littered his bedroom, he played with toy soldiers as a kid, and he'd shoot fake blasters while making "PEW PEW PEW!" noises with his mouth.
During Alex's teenage years, his fascination with following in his father's footsteps and becoming a Republic soldier grew and grew. And while his father was afraid for his son's safety, he supported and encouraged his dream, because he knew he would never be able to stop him once his mind was set on it.
At the age of 18, Alex was ready to enlist, at least, until his mother became ill. At the behest of his father, Alex would spend the next year taking care of his mother over pursuing his dreams. This would go on until the illness took her. At this point, Alex had taken a job as a bartender at a local cantina to help pay for her medical care, and his dreams were near forgotten.
At the Battle Of Metalorn though, Alex's father Garrett was killed during the fight. During the funeral, Alex made up his mind. His fire was back, his drive to pursue his dream had returned in full force, and he enlisted in the Republic Military soon after.
After months of training and battle, including having participated as background noise in invasions against the Sith Empire and Black Sun, Alex has become a formidable soldier, and plans to forge his legacy as one of the men who helped protect the Republic and it's people, in his father's honor.
