BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Kuat, Alexandros had an unremarkable childhood before enrolling in the navy. On the route to becoming an officer he was educated and for a few years interned with the Kuat Drive Yards, learning the practice of shipwrights, before devoting himself entirely to the military.
Educated in the naval academies, Augustine was inexperienced but adept with naval stratagem. With his more practical skills and knowledge of ships from his time with Kuat's prominent ship company, he passed the officer course with flying colors.
As a naval officer he eventually found his way into the Republic Navy, rising through the ranks slowly, but steadily. He was attentive in his studies of warfare and doctrine, paying keen attention to battles he both did and did not participate in. With the threats to their democracy, Augustine became disillusioned with how the Republic governed itself, preferring more autocratic and dictatorial governments of yore, based on might.
In his eyes the Republic was weak, and when it collapsed that only furthered his beliefs. Returning to the planet of Kuat the naval officer exchanged his uniform for that of a shipwright's, focusing himself on the creation of spacecraft. Military craft were his expertise, often selling more niche designs to any willing to shell out a few credits, though he more often than not was designing various civilian models due to the reliability of the market.
He did not join the call of the Galactic Empire, still preoccupied with his own work; and once again the democracy failed with the Galactic Alliance. Now with the return of the Republic on the horizon, Augustine seeks to return to the stars to impress upon them his vision of a united galaxy.
