Enyo Typhos
Control
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Intent: To flesh out Enyo's clone posse. This submission has been discussed with [member="Valiens Nantaris"], the original writer of the deceased Kaelin Isandros.
Image Credit: Here. Photo of Tabrett Bethell.
Role: Second clone of Kaelin Isandros, clone sibling of Enyo Typhos and Amara Zarides. Alexia is the member of the clone posse most like Enyo. She is a dedicated infiltrator, spy and assassin, skilled with poisons, blade and long range weapons.
Permission: Permission for all ArmaTech/Alderaan Engineering gear and all other subs made by Laira Darkhold's writer here and here. Permission for Vanir items here.
Links: Amara Zarides, Breaking Elysium, Pandemic, Wonder of the Galaxy, The Red Arrow.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: About two years since she's a clone. Has the body of a woman in her early twenties.
Force Sensitivity: Knight.
Species: Cloned Human
Appearance: 5'9 tall, blonde and attractive, Alexia resembles Kaelin before the Dark Side started taking a toll on her body. She has pale skin and blue eyes. There is a small white scar in the spinal area though because Archangel implanted her with a chip there to control her. The device was surgically removed after her sisters rescued her. Being the practical type, she wears hair short. It also helps distinguish her from Amara, who has long hair. She often wears her lightsabre openly at her side. The clone is physically fit, but slender and lacks raw strength. Alexia is a bit of a materialist and likes pretty things, but wears practical attire in combat situations.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name: Alexia Zarides
Loyalties: Archangel Research and Design, Iron Fist Consortium, Revenant Industries, Typhos Clone Family, Enyo.
Wealth: Like all members of the clone family, Alexia receives a portion of the consortium's profits from its legal and illegal ventures. She is not above trying to get 'discounts' and 'gifts' from merchants paying protection money, as is typical for family members of crime bosses. This has got her in trouble with Enyo, who is an extreme puritan. Alexia is no spendthrift though and has plenty of credits stashed away. This gives her money to draw upon if she has to make major purchases or buy someone's allegiance.
Notable Possessions:
- Full slicing kit.
- Owns a lightsabre with a bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse and other standard features. It has a Ghostfyre Crystal, giving it a near translucent blade. Combined with Alexia's talent for stealth, this makes it good for sneak attacks.
- AE-AS1 Ghostsuit
- MN-B Infiltrator. Usually worn in combination with an SH-N Projection Helmet as well as street clothes to provide some protection while appearing non-threatening, allowing them to blend in.
- ID10 Seeker Droid
- Mirage Personal Cloaking Device
- VT-SI-19 Sniper Rifle
Alexia is quite empathic, which is helpful for reading others and discerning their motivations. Skilled in lightsabre combat, slicing and poisons. Aside from Galactic Basic, she speaks and understands Huttese and Twi'leki. While Alexia has the body and memories of an adult, she is still very young. She has been spending most of her life as a field operative, so as a result her leadership skills still need refinement. She is adept at infiltration and leading small teams, but lacks experience in bureaucratic or strategic administration.
Personality: The template of Amara and Alexia was a deviant psychopath, and her shadow hangs over both of them. However, the two siblings have drawn diametrically opposed conclusions from Kaelin's fate. Amara's conclusion was 'she was a horrible monster', so she decided to walk the path of the light, at least as far practically possible. This got difficult because her sister and protector Enyo decided to become a Lawful Evil warlord. By contrast, Alexia's conclusion was 'she wasted her potential'. Her lesson was that Kaelin wasted her time with sexual deviancy and torture, but that she had the right idea: You're either strong or weak, freedom is not possible without power. You must be strong, cunning and ruthless to ensure your freedom. Morality is a chain holding you back. Care for no one but yourself and your family.
But unlike Kaelin, she is not a sadist obsessed with hurting and humiliating others. She kills cleanly, and when she has the edge over someone, she does not ruin it by gloating. In that regard she is the third arm of the triangle, similar yet opposite to both Kaelin and Amara. An aggressive sort, she views the Force as a tool to ensure victory. She has a serious, committed nature, but with the occasional quirk, a penchant for practical jokes and a rather dark, macabre sense of humour. She is adept at disguises and a good liar. Becomes very focused and to the point in stress situations.
She values neatness, hygiene and cleanliness highly. When Alexia looks at a specific action, she will not ask herself whether it is good or evil. Rather she will question whether it is effective and benefits her. However, she is not a being solely characterised by rationality. In contrast to Enyo, Alexia is a bit of a humanist. She looks down on aliens she regards as 'unclean' and 'uncivilised', such as the Kraal, Trandoshans and Wookiees. She can tolerate those who look human enough, 'wash themselves and know how to dress'. This snobbish attitude can cause issues with the alien members of Enyo's organisation. Ironically this is a trait she shares with Valerian. Enyo has tried to wean both off it, but they are quite stubborn. In order to teach Alexia a lesson, Enyo has given her an HRD bodyguard with a Weequay template. Said bodyguard (and minder) looks like dumb muscle, but is actually very intelligent.
In terms of personality, of all the clones she is the most similar to her elder 'sister' Enyo. One is the scalpel, the other a hammer. Enyo values her commitment and analytical mind, viewing her as one of the ablest among the clones squad, and is slowly grooming her for a position of leadership. Of all the members of the clone squad, Alexia is the most involved in Enyo's shady business. Enyo loves Amara deeply, but sometimes wishes she were more like Alexia.
The relationship between Alexia and Amara is...awkward. On the one hand Amara is her sister and her liberator. This is something Alexia values...but at the same time her sibling appears painfully naive and weak-kneed to her. Rather than grasp power, Amara weakens herself by being afraid of it. At least that's Alexia's perspective. Amara and Enyo have strongly divergent moral codes, causing both siblings to drift away from each other despite their mutual affection. In the process, Enyo and Alexia have grown closer. Alexia does not actually want Amara to come to harm, but feels she could use a 'reality check'. Alexia is extremely ambitious and considers herself the natural choice as Enyo's second. This has given her a rivalry with Valerian, Shadow's clone. She has poor relations with Thalia, whom she regards as a childish brat, while Phylis' clone sees her as stuckup. Both are probably right. She gets on well with Thuella, the clone of Tempest. It helps that Thuella is mainly interested in pursuing scientific endeavours and stays out of the struggles for influence.
COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: Lightsabre, the Force, guns, her brain. Fond of shatterguns, disruptors, carbines and sniper rifles on the ranged front. She also has a knack for poisons.
Combat Function: Kaelin Isandros was a coward and a bad fighter. She preyed on the weak who could not defend herself, and would seek to run away if she ran into someone who could fight back, battling them only if she had no choice. Like her mirror, Alexia is good at infiltration and utilising disguises. But unlike her, Alexia is no coward. However, her combat function is not that of direct, brute force. Rather she uses her agility and stealth skills to stay out of harm's way and attack unexpectedly. Her preferred lightsabre form is Ataru. This is an aggressive style that relies on speed, manoeuvre and intense acrobatics. However, its taxing nature can put her at a disadvantage in prolonged combat, as she risks tiring herself out. It also leaves her a disadvantage if she lacks room to manoeuvre.
In addition to being trained in the use of small arms, she's adept in the use of sniper rifles and poisons. Close in she uses her lightsabre to deflect attacks and strike in a swift, surgical manner. To this end she will also incorporate Force powers such as telekinesis and mental attacks to throw her opponents off balance and give her an opening to strike a lethal or disabling blow. Lacking brute physical strength, she is more of a glass cannon combat, making her less resilient and durable. She does not perform well when cornered by groups of enemies without having room to manoeuvre. Alexia is a survivor above all and knows when to retreat if necessary. The sole exception to this is when her family is in danger. Alexia has a preference for light armour that gives her mobility and boosts her stealth abilities. This obviously leaves more vulnerable to enemy attacks.
Strengths:
- Skilled assassin and infiltrator. Alexia is agile, stealthy and good at disguises. She is also a good shot.
- Good lightsabre duellist, focusing on Ataru. She has an aggressive style. She has fast and good at acrobatics, and very skilled in further augmenting these traits through use of the Force.
- Glass cannon. Alexia is at striking fast and sishing out, but she lacks brute physical strength and resilience. She does not perform well when cornered by groups of enemies without room to manoeuvre. Tying in with this, she has a preference for light armour.
- Ataru is a very energy-intensive style and requires her to end fights quickly. It is also less effective in confined quarters.
Kaelin Isandros was once a powerful and cruel Sith Assassin trained by Darth Shadow to become an instrument of fear, pain and misery wherever she went. Once she was a sweet, kind girl, but abuse and the corruption of the Dark Side turned her into a woman of malevolence and hatred. Eventually though she chose the wrong target and was slain by Siobhan Kerrigan after pushing her too far by torturing her wife. Fast forward many years and Archangel sought new materiels to make Force clones. Having acquired Kaelin's DNA from Darth Shadow before his apparent demise at the hand of Siobhan Kerrigan, they decided to clone her...ironically to complement their Siobhan clone, Enyo Typhos. Kaelin's first clone was called amara Zarides. Then both clones went rogue and dedicated themselves to destroying their makers. By then Archangel was already growing the next batch of clones. One of them was the second clone of Kaelin Isandros. The clone squad was liberated by the sisters when they stormed Archangel's secret base after making an alliance with the Contingency.
And so Alexia Zarides was spared from a life of servitude to her mechanical creators. The clone had been given the best conditioning and flash training that Archangel could provide. Thus she awoke with all the knowledge she needed to know. She also knew of the fate of her template, though the details had been edited somewhat. Having learned that Archangel intended her to be their slave-soldier, Alexia vowed to herself that she would never let anyone control her like that. At the same time, she concluded that Kaelin had been right in principle, but failed to live up to her potential by succumbung to depravity. She would walk a different path, and take command of her destiny.
Her dedication and serious attitude caught the eye of Enyo, after the cyborg returned from the strange Incursion in the Tartarus System, where she'd betrayed her Contingency allies after concluding that they were insane. So she began to train Alexia, teaching her the ways of the Force, stealth and combat. Alexia participated in a few raids, robberies and skirmishes, gaining practical field experience along the way. She underwent her baptism of fire and blood on Vorzyd, where her older sister's criminal organisation engaged in gang wars with the local mafias.
Among other, things she assassinated a corrupt politician who was in league with one of Enyo's rivals. She showed promise as an infiltrator and silent killer, with Enyo encouraging her to hone her skills. Enyo had high expectations of her and her younger 'sister' strove to fulfil them. Fron early on, Alexia concluded she was a natural choice as the Cyborg's second in command. This ambitious streak created a rivalry with Valerian, clone of Darth Shadow. This was quite ironic since Shadow had been the master of Kaelin Isandros, something the somewhat arrogant clone occasionally reminded her of when they bickered. Johanna Tyrone, one of Enyo's henchwomen, assumed a mentoring role for her. The former dirty cop taught her about spycraft, deception and murder.
Later Alexia played an important role in helping Enyo resolve a pandemic in the slums of Lower Coruscant. A think tank of bioterrorists had weaponised a disease in order to cleanse big cities of overpopulation. They called the Galactic Sustainability Trust. However, their test subject escaped and released the virus prematuraly before they could manufacture an antidote to protect the 'worthy'. Since this happened in her bailiwick, Enyo had to take action. Alexia teamed up with Farah, secretly the clone of Joza Perl and a member of the Zambrano family, to track down and seize the laboratory where the virus had been manufactured. There they were able to subdue the scientists and 'persuade' them to switch allegiances. Meanwhile, after a few adventures that involved being attacked by gunships, Enyo and Johanna were able to abduct the leader of the terrorist group. He was masquerading as a philantrophist. After thorough interrogation, he would end up being processed.
Once she learned of the terrorist's true motivations, Alexia was somewhat sympathetic: "It's a good theory. The galaxy has too many people, expanding into every niche like flowing water. Controls have to be there to deal with the excess. However his methods were inefficient, sloppy, poorly executed. His research may be useful though...." Enyo decided to keep and refine the virus rather than destroying it. Alexia and Enyo's pet mad scientist Zakarias Vont oversaw the integration of the Trust's research staff into the Iron Fist Consortium. During this time Alexia once more clashed with Valerian. Shadow's clone had also been in Lower Coruscant during the crisis. Cut off from his comrades and stuck in a district overflowing with infected, he had been left with unglamorous cleanup and containment duties.
When Enyo travelled to Karakorum to negotiate with the enigmatic Kraal Imperator and hire some of his warriors, she took Alexia with her. The Kraal were barbarians, but ferocious warriors and would be an asset in the ongoing war against Archangel. Amara was rightly considered to be too moralistic to go along with some of their actions. While Enyo negotiated with the lizard warlord, Alexia and her associate Johanna Tyrone used subterfuge and lies to interrogate some slaves about the Imperator's secrets. From them she learned that the Kraal leader had vanished several years ago, at the time of the Netherworld event. Back then he had not been the Imperator, but when he returned he possessed far greater strength in the Force and destroyed all his rivals. To prove her worth, Enyo was given the task of killing an enormous sand wurm and bringing the Imperator its head.
The morally compromised gang bought the slaves Alexia and Johanna had interrogated. All but two were loaded with explosives and used as live bait. After they had been devoured by the beast and had exploded inside its belly, the gang opened up with volleys of heavy weapons fire. However, despite its injuries the wurm was an extremely tenacious opponent. Several of the Iron Fist's goons were devoured by it. Enyo herself was swallowed, but managed to slice her way out and kill the beast from the inside. Alexia, who had believed her sister, to be dead, considered her reckless. However, the Kraal Imperator was satisfied. Three Kraal clans vied for Enyo's favour and she let their champions fight it out, choosing the clan of the victor.
Alexia would also accompany Enyo to Byss, where she met the mysterious Darth Orthus. The trio decided to investigate the remains of one of Palpatine's old laboratories, which had been submerged under water. Their goal was to rediscover the research of how to create Chrysalides - and how to control them. The adventure was a harrowing one. They faced Dark Troopers, Xenomorphs, mutated war beasts and other menaces. Unused to fighting swarms, Alexia was pushed to her limits. She was briefly powered up when Orthus lent her some of his strength. Naturally the Sith Lord had an ulterior motive. So when she realised what was happening Alexia resisted the contact and to his credit he relented. Alexia was badly injured in the fight, but her persistence gained her approval from Enyo. It gave her incentive to train harder and hone her powers, not wanting to ever be in a situation where she was dependent on someone else's strength again. To her this was a sign of weakness she could not abide in herself. She aided Enyo and Thuella in infiltrating a space station held by rogue Mandalorians at Nespis VIII, and steal vital data.
Alexia was heavily involved in the final battle with Archangel. After having laid low for many months, the corporation/machine cult launched an unexpectedly severe counterattack, destroying the Iron Fist's base of operations. The machine cult had used the time to rebuild its assets and entered an alliance with Contingency remnants. This forced the Iron Fist to ally with the Shadow Knights, a dissident organisation of Eldorai renegades whose people had been targeted by Archangel for processing. The counterattack from her creators compelled Enyo to radically accelerate her timetable and muster all the allies she could find for the final assault on the machine cult.
Alexia was given command of unit of special operations soldies and played an important role in destroying Archangel's new prototype warship. She was a bit irked that Valerian was put in charge of the Consortium's 'fleet'. Moira Skaldi was destroyed during the fighting and Enyo confronted her mirror, the second clone of Siobhan Kerrigan. In the aftermath of the fighting, Enyo and Amara parted ways. Enyo assumed control of Archangel and Alexia stood at her side. Now that the threat of Archangel has been removed from her life, Alexia seeks to spread her wings and acquire a position of influence in Enyo's criminal consortium.
