Strengths:

• High Plasma Weaponry Resistance: Due to the inclusion of not only ceramic-songsteel but armorweave as well the jacket can stop blaster bolts, though one would still feel the kinetic energy behind them
• High Kinetic Weaponry Resistance: The idea of adding the ceramic-songsteel discs was two-fold with the songsteel protect from blaster bolts and the ceramic protecting from slugs, though one will still feel the kinetic energy behind them
• Internal Pouches/Pockets: The inside of the jacket is lined with a myriad of pockets from just a standard pocket to a place to store a first aid kit

Weaknesses:

• Only Glancing Lightsaber Blows: While the inclusion of songsteel allows from protection from glancing lightsaber strikes it still won't protect against a full swing or slash
• No Sonic Protection: The jacket offers no protection from sonic weaponry and if someone were to use it it would be extremely effective
• Only Torso Coverage: It's a jacket, it is only designed to cover someone's torso

DESCRIPTION:

Designed by Noah at the insistence of Alex Feanor for a leather jacket she could wear that could still protect her. Noah being somewhat struck by the woman decided to accommodate the woman and design her jacket. The first thing Noah needed to figure out was the leather to use with the jacket. Noah toyed around with many different leathers before he finally decided on the leather of the fearsome Krayt Dragon which would be both symbolic and added a little more protection due to the toughness of the leather.

Next Noah had to figure out a protective underlay to help against attacks. The first decision was how to keep the armor flexible without sacrificing mobility. The decision was made that instead of plates sewn in between fabric, a traditional approach, that instead four layers of discs would be sewn in between the fabric. The first layer of discs would be made of a ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and plastoid composite designed to stop both slugs and a blaster bolts. The second layer would be made out of songsteel to protect against glancing lightsaber blows. The third and fourth layer would repeat the first and second layer respectively.

Once the outer layer and protective layer of the jacket was finished it was time to put the frosting on the cake, so to speak. The inside was lined with fleece to keep the wearer warm and several pockets ranging from just a standard pocket to a holster to a first aid kit pouch were sewn to allow maximum storage while still being covert as possible.
