• Description: Professional navy, purely for the defense of Haruun Kal, and monitoring of trade going in and out of the system.

• Goals: To defend Haruun Kal from aggressors, and combat piracy that may hamper trade.
• Reputation: Haruun Kal having naval forces is a fairly new thing, and it's not particularly large, and doesn't travel, so it's not particularly widely known.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Following the ratification of the Al'Har Pact, the Al'Har Federation was formed in 897 ABY. To the citizenry, it was the cause of jubilation- at last, an end to countless generations of feuding, suffering, and bloodshed.

But the High Council embraced their liberation with a mix of relief and trepidation. Peace was not the natural state of the galaxy. They had proven that they can fight a galactic power on land- but what would happen if the next invader cut their losses and tried to bombard them from the air?

This gave rise to the Al'Hari Shipyards. Armed with a domestic production capability, the Al'Hari Defense Fleet slowly came into focus. Staffed with Haruun Kal's best and brightest, the flight doesn't have much in the way of force projection outside of the Al'Hari System, or capital ships, which cannot be produced at scale, as it'd be very costly. Rather, the Federation favors the use of frigates, corvettes, and starfighters, "flooding the zone" with craft.
