Vertebreaker

Jaya couldn't stay away from home forever, and like home Tamanen had always felt. Here she was born and raised and here she learned the tricks of her trade- her heart belonged to Tamanen. After five years hopping from planet to planet, exploring whatever the galaxy had to offer and then some, she realized she missed being home. There still was much to be seen, and she would continue to take up work from all corners of the galaxy, but it was high time to make the place she called home Tamanen again. And so, she did, but she came back a woman with more credits than she knew how to spend. Jaya had gone from a small apartment and an abandoned warehouse to a penthouse and large garage turned into a proper workshop.

But even then, Jaya's favorite place to be was a seedy cantina, with some cheap booze in hand and feeling the itching for a brawl hanging in the air. She was a street rat, always was, always had been. No matter where she went in life, that's where she belonged. That's where she was now, too. Loud bass pumped through her ears as she sat at the bar, taking a sip from her drink as she watched two twi'lek come to blows over what was likely nothing. It wasn't any different from anywhere else in the galaxy, but it still felt different here. Perhaps it was just because of her fondness of her home, but to Jaya the reason why it felt that way mattered little.

And it made her want to look for a bit of a scrap herself.

Jaya felt most alive when throwing, and taking, punches. It got her adrenaline pumping and Force knew she was a junkie. She rarely brawled with anyone with malicious intent, though. It was quite the opposite, in fact, those who found themselves coming to blows with Jaya would end up being offered a drink afterwards. It was the woman's way to express herself in the purest way, in her eyes there was no better way to get to know someone. Sometimes she wondered if she had been an echani in a previous life.

She still had her drink to finish first, though.
