Enroute to Togoria

Faith was currently enroute to Togoria questions were being raised about that little bit of space that she had spoken with to the new Supreme Commander [member="Willam Forlon"] it would seem their concerns were beginning to become a realization and now was the time to make a move to find out more.

With her on this trip she invited a few of the Senators and Republic Staff to go, currently she was looking across the way at [member="Arisa Yune"] a young woman that Faith knew nothing about, and this little trip perhaps would serve to change that.

She only hoped that they were in time to find out anything before any aggressions took place.

In place of Suravi, Arisa traveled with Faith and the other members of the Republic mission to Togoria. Not wanting to attract any attention to herself, she traveled in plain clothes, and made sure to carry nothing that could identify her as a Jedi. Which wasn't much of an issue, since she hardly ever used a lightsaber these days. In battle, she had quickly learned that the only thing more deadly than a Jedi, was a Jedi with a blaster.

On their way to Togoria, she started reading up on the planet. A low tech world home to a race of feline sentients known as the Togorians. A warlike species with strong ties to the Mandalorians dating back several millennia. What she found most interesting about the Togorians was their culture of segregation. Divided by sex, the males tended to lead a nomadic, almost luddite lifestyle, while the females kept to themselves in large developed settlements, preferring a more orderly existence. Only rarely did they mingle for mating purposes. All together, they tended to be an insular, almost xenophobic culture, though the females were apparently more welcoming of offworlders.

It was probably a good thing that she had tagged along. As a Jedi, she had a special skillset for getting along with all sorts of characters, even racists.

As she was reading about all this, she started to feel attention from Faith. She looked up from her datapad, turning to look over at Faith with a polite smile.

"The Togorians are quite an interesting bunch," she said, tilting her datapad to give Faith a view of her datapad. "The males of their species so valued their freedom, that they split away from their female counterparts to form their own sub-culture. They must really love their mounts."

"I know, but there are examples throughout history and the galaxy where society has done the same out of necessity. Such as the Emberlenes and the Hapans the women felt the men had created the issues, so they took over. It would seem the males of Togoria have opted their course of action."

Faith smiled though her mind drifted into places that no one would care to know about, or she to share. "Are you looking forward to this? Have you been on other missions such as this?" She just knew that whatever was going to happen was moving into place already and they would all have to react, it was going to be difficult.

Truly.

"That's true, but the self-imposed segregation of the sexes appears to have developed as a matter of choice rather than necessity. Each living strategy was viable at the time of their split. The parallel structure of Togorian civilization is quite different from a traditional patriarchal or matriarchal system. Actually, I am looking forward to this mission, just to see Togorian society for myself.

"Honestly...I don't have much much experience on the diplomatic front. If it wasn't for my work with Senator Teigra, then I wouldn't have any."

She let out a chuckle as she admitted her naiveté to the Princess. Up until her accident, most of her adult life had been spent on the frontlines against the Sith. As she recuperated, her work had taken a more political and clandestine nature under Suravi. Not that she minded, it was sort of the role she had envisioned for herself during her academy days.

"Funnily enough, my first experience involved meeting you on Alderaan, during your private audience with Teigra."
