- Adjustable dials allow users to set their preferred mask dimensions in-order for the APMS to most comfortably fit on their face.
- Flashlights on both sides of the mask's upper area can be used in dark conditions, small solar batteries ensure easy recharge, and long battery life.

- Gas Mask: Certified for use in toxic and otherwise poisonous environments including natural and manmade occurring airborne health hazards. The APMS comes delivered with four in-built air filters capable of supplying an unlimited amount of clean oxygen when in the presence of hazardous airborne materials, including debris particles. A Hazard Mode is able to be activated on the APMS, hiding all of the functions reserved for medical purposes so that it can strictly serve as a gas mask and air filtration device.
- Communication Ready: Equipped with both input and output audio devices, the APMS allows wearers to communicate with one another even through the masks. It also allows wearers to relay instructions and information to those not wearing the APMS via audio outputs located on the outside of the mask. Soundproofing located along the two supporting columns on the side of the APMS ensure that in the event of incredibly loud events or environments, communication will not be impeded. Volume options for audio input and output are available.
- Situational Awareness: Cameras located on all four sides of the top of the APMS, each of which can connect to the wearer's mask interface allow them to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Night vision, as well as infra-red and thermal visions are available options via these cameras in the event that the flashlights are not enough.

- Battery Required: The APMS's primary function as that of a convenient and easy to use relay between the wearer and their NKMedical products is unable to be carried out in the event that the mask runs out of battery. Only the mask's flashlights are solar powered, while the rest requires traditional power cells. It is recommended by NKMedical that those intending to use the APMS bring spare batteries with them. Without batteries the mask is still able to be used as a gas mask and for its flashlights.
